    Convenient

    rating17 Jul 2017

Maybe I stayed here on an off-day, but I found the owner and her mother to be very rude and moody. They were upset that I did not have cash, although it was their fault that there machine did not work--one of the owners yelled out "S***" because I did not have cash. In the middle of the night, I woke up to screaming--the two owners and one of the owner's mother were screaming. The bed covers smelled old and were dirty. Luckily, I was only staying one night and needed to be close to the airport.

Had a lovely stay with friendly staff

I can see that this place has some bad reviews however don't be put off by them as this is the cheapest accommodation in the area and me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay with no complaints. The facilities were all working and very clean. The breakfast was a continental breakfast that was as good as they get with a lovely cup of coffee! The villa is remote but within walking distance from the air port (2.5 miles, its quite a long walk but better that the price of a taxi for sure). Pretty much as long as you're not expecting too much from this place its a very pleasant place to stay with helpful and friendly staff. IMO the bad reviews on this place are from people expecting too much for their money, don't be put off by them.

    Stay away

    rating12 Jul 2016

This was recommended by the owner of the Country Hotel when she could not honour our booking. This is a sub- standard B&B. The room was clean and cool but the mosquito's caused us problems. I needed antibiotic treatment when I returned home due to the severity of mosquito bites. The walls are thin and you can hear the people upstairs. The place is unmanned so if you have a problem there is no one to help. The electrics leave a lot to be desired and the paintwork and tiling is cracked and flaking. The front door was difficult to open and close. The flight path for Marco polo is close and you will hear the noise. Breakfast was very miserly, unhygienic and inedible. The place is out of the way and there are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity unless you enjoy a good walk along a country lane.

You deserve better than this terrible place.

Substandard place, electric and tiling appalling. Very tired and old accommodation.Over head noise from aeroplane. In the middle of nowhere.Place unmanned except when lady comes for her money and to serve a dreadful breakfast that is miserly and unhygienic. Worse breakfast ever. We left the table hungry because of the slop served here.Mosquito's.Don't chance staying here. Not good value. Refrigerator did not work and odour bad.

Great stay close to the Airport!

    rating02 Sept 2015

Firstly, with regards to the transfers to the Airport and central Venice mentioned in other reviews, I can confirm the location of this B&B is somewhat remote despite being close to the Airport. This makes the B&B amazingly serine and quiet (never have I been somewhere so close to an airport in the dead of night and been able to hear a pin drop!) The bus's to the Airport from the Casino are somewhat taxing and few and far between, and 0.6 walk!. The best option is a taxi for 20euros (quite a hit) but you paid less for the B&B! Then I would advise the 45 Bus FROM Tessera into Venice, NOT THE AIRPORT as the AIRPORT Bus fare is 8euros and the Tessera Bus Fare is 1.50! We actually walked to the B&B from the Airport which was MAD! Don't do this as you are walking in the hard shoulder of an Italian Dual Carriageway. The room's are clean and adequate, we even got given a fridge! which was a lovely touch. The owner of the B&B was lovely and honestly cannot fault what they are doing here. You aren't staying in a chain, which for me was a great positive! The breakfast was good, the bread was fresh and a great selection of spreads! and UNLIMITED free supply of fresh Italian Espresso which on St Mark's square costs you 12 euros for the same cup (same brand aswell!) the lady was happy to keep giving us more.Overall, I would recommend this B&B! but do take into account the 20 Euro taxi transfer (factor it into your hotel price!) and don't bother with the 0.6 walk to the bus stop! In honesty, if you have a hire car, don't give it back and think this hotel is close enough - you are better off paying for an extra day on the hire car.
