Location

The hotel enjoys a unique location in an authentic and typical setting in Venice, facing the Church of Saint Sebastian and the Convent of Saint Sebastiano. Today the convent is the site of the Humanities Department of Venice’s Università Ca' Foscari, and the Church of Saint Sebastian is one of the city’s most prestigious destinations for art lovers. It is a short walk from the San Basilio Maritime Station, point of departure for Mediterranean cruise boats and ship lines and ferries which take guests to Saint Mark’s Square and Piazzale Roma (with its bus station) in 10 minutes. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Hilton-Molino Stucky convention centre and within 800 m there are plenty of restaurants, shops and bars. Venice Airport is a mere 10 km away.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1600. Guests have a choice of 2 junior suites, 2 single rooms and 12 double rooms located in two 3-storey buildings with lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. There are also a number of shops that make for great strolling and browsing. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. Other amenities available include an ironing set and a trouser press.     Overpriced ripoff, scam offers for Murano. Glass etc etc.. . One evening they even hosted a private party with ear-splitting disco - Never again.

    If you’re looking for a quiet oasis off the beaten path (literally), this is it. We still had quick access to all the amazing locations that drew us to this amazing city on the canals, but we really liked this calm location.Service was excellent. From the start, Ana made sure we were happy each day - restaurant recommendations, travel options, room questions, you name it. You feel like you’re the only one staying there - it’s so peaceful and relaxing. We will stay here again, no question.

    Wonderful venetian boutique hideaway

    We spent a wonderful weekend in this cosy boutique hotel nestled in Dorsoduro. We were welcomed with water and snacks and a chilled bottle of prosecco in our room. The room was good size with top-notch linens and toiletries and a comfy king bed. The staff was wonderful, especially Ronnie who was super helpful. Breakfast was great with a large choice including fresh pastries and eggs on demand. The hotel is 20 minutes from the sites in a quieter neighbourhood. There is a university nearby with some young people on the street later at night and a bit of noise but it all stopped after 11. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will happily return. We would like to try the sister property in Cortina.

    This is an excellent hotel It is full of interesting art work reminding us what a great trading city Venice was. The staff are warm and friendly The location accessible to the the rest of the city but also has a nice feel about being away from the crowds The garden is a little Eden.
