  Enjoyable stay !

  Lots of complaints about the noise, yes, the Hotel is a very old building in a very busy area, I'm sure there are other places who experience the same people traffic, get over it, this isn't The Ritz, it's a cheap and cheerful place, great location, room was clean, actual guests in the Hotel were quiet, 3 nights here, only a 10 min walk to the handy Airport Bus service which I highly recommend for the price.

  Very small and basic , but clean and good location.

  The rooms are very small and basic , but clean. House keeping brought clean towels and beds made every day. The first room we was given was very dark and small , we were staying for 7 nights , if it was 1 or 2 nights I wouldn’t have minded so much . I went and asked if there was any bigger rooms as we were staying for a week and the thought of returning to the first room would be depressing. We was offered another room , still small , but. Different lay out that was airer and lighter . I never witnessed any of the larger rooms on the website.The location was really good , the breakfast was a good choice . I would recommend this hotel for a 1or 2 night stay , it is very basic , but good value for Venice.

  Beautiful, spotless Hotel. So welcoming, great quiet location. Fantastic restaurant. From the moment we arrived a warm friendly welcome by Francesca. We met Salvatore, Roberto and head chef Luigi. So friendly, accomodating and Luigi is an excellent chef. The pool area so relaxing and also the Gardiner and hous keepers all so friendly.We have no hesitation in recommending Hotel Florida.   I booked this hotel through Expedia. When we got to the hotel, there was no one around. A sign on the dek told us to go to another hotel and check in there. We did this and was told we were not staying at the hotel we had booked but at a completely different hotel. When we entered the room, it was hot (air con did not work) and absolutely filty. There was dirt everywhere and blood on the ceiling! When we spoke to the hotel staff, they told us to contact Expedia as we booked through them. On our return, I contacted Expedia and they have told me that as this hotel is refusing to contact them, there is nothing they can do. Avoid this place like the plague. There are far better and cleaner hotels in Venice. If you book here, you will regret it.

  A dreadful place to stay! Only bonus was it was half an hour from the main attractions.

  Check in is at another hotel located 30 meters away and that is where you have breakfast. The rooms are very old fashioned and the noise from outside felt like it was on the inside it was so noisy all through the night. Banging and shouting by locals till about midnight and again around 5am with bells at 7.15 every morning. There is no receptionist and no one to assist at any time - except reluctant assistance from the hotel down the road.. The beds are hard. The room temperature - unchangeable roasting. Tv remote was so old it was hard to press the buttons and gaffa taped together. I got in to bed my first night to realise the bedding in one area was soaking. I called hotel Florida but then realised there is no receptionist and could hear the telephone ringing from my room. I called the other hotel and they reluctantly came to assist. The guy who came said he’d change the mattress and handed me new sheets for the bed. See pics below - wet stain and then the mattress replacement. I was clearly upset and insisted on changing rooms. He had to leave to check if any rooms were available and then I was given another key to move myself. The new room, albeit old fashioned, was fine, but still very noisy so broken sleep. No kettle to have a drink. I had to use a bottle to hold my adapter in the socket as it kept falling out. Drainage in the shower means you are showering in your dirty water up to your shins. All in all An awful awful hotel!!
