  VERY rude staff especially during breakfast and ESPECIALLY the boss. I have never encountered such unprofessional staff. They would not serve us breakfast before departure even though it was promised and paid for!!!!!!

  Location is good, walking distance from the water boat taxi stop. Bedroom was small but lovely and warm. Fresh towels daily and very clean. The breakfast was basic, it could have done with a toaster. The bathroom was small with an even smaller shower. 24 hour front desk. The lift fits only 3 people at more with small luggage. There's no bar area for drinks if you wanted to just chill out and not kettle or fridge in the room. Quite hotel.

  I was worried about staying here after reading the reviews, as it was booked for me on a work trip. I found the room was clean and comfortable, the location is excellent. Yes it’s a bit tired and ok there’s a bit of dust in the plug sockets and old wear and tear, but for the cheap price it was perfectly fine for a few days, and I don’t like slumming it!The breakfast was not bad for €15, fresh croissants, fruit salad and yoghurt, scrambled eggs and a nice coffee machine. It’s not luxury but it was perfectly ok to set you up for the day if you’re not fussed about a breakfast experience. If you’re looking for a luxurious stay this isn’t the place for you but if you want a budget stay and bed for the night while you explore beautiful Venice I’d recommend. The pillows were firm but I liked them and slept well. Clean sheets (but I did check the mattress after the bed bugs reviews!). Would stay again.

  Keep Looking If Considering Hotel Belle Arti in Venice

  First for the positive parts- the hotel is located in a very walkable great area and breakfast is included with a very nice attendant who will make you a cafe. However, this hotel is far from a 3 star. The rooms are smaller than a cruise ship or NYC rooms. There is no where to put luggage. There was a double bed and when we arrived we were told there was no air conditioning, even though it was advertised as having air conditioning and the room was very hot. The bathroom has no where to put a makeup bag or any other items while getting ready. We had to keep the balcony door ajar (which was 1 foot by 1 foot) over night with no screen for air. There were smokers on patio below (so really not fresh air) and mosquitos buzzing all night around our heads. The female front desk attendant with dark hair had no customer service skills and appeared to not love her job and really offered no solution or warmth in her response.If you are looking for a special hotel in Venice, this is not it. I’d recommend to keep looking if you landed on this page.

  The hotel rooms are clean but outside is tired needs new furniture and umbrellas. Sofa and tables held together with tape. Owners have no up keeping plans.Breakfast good. Staff very good. Owners have little knowledge of hospitality industry. Ignore outside photos.
