This hotel is located in the historic centre of Mestre, some 20 minutes by car from Venice. The building is situated in a traffic-calmed area, but cars are still permitted. The town centre, with its restaurants, bars and shops, can be reached in around 5 minutes. The establishment is about 7 km from Marco Polo Airport, 15 km from Guglielmo Marconi Airport and some 20 km from Treviso Airport.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 2-storey building with a lift and 28 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     Excellent location! We took a bus across the street my from this hotel and arrived in Venice in 20 min. The hotel has free parking which was a must for us. However, the room was outdated and requires remodeling. As long as you are outside all day, you are ok.

    Really nice small hotel. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Location is great, the No 2 bus goes from opposite the hotel into the heart of Venice, €3 return & buy the card from reception. Return stop is literally outside the hotel door.Continental breakfast served by the staff was good and great coffee.Rooms are basic but clean and there's a free safe and fridge.Mestre town centre is nice and lively.Would happily return there.

    A very basic hotel. It was clean and the staff were friendly. There was no lift, so managing the stairs with heavy cases was difficult. The room was clean but gloomy and the bathroom was tiny with a shower over a bath where I had stand sideways. The furniture was dark as was the decor but very clean.Breakfast had to be ordered on check-in and served at the table. We got the food we ordered but the portions were very small. We were not asked to order for the second day, so we got the same - no choice!The hotel is well situated for the bus to Venice and Mestre is a charming district.

    We are a group of six friends, two from Britain, two from Canada and two from Australia who met up in the UK after many years apart for a late 60's birthday reunion. We had booked a cruise with MSC out of Marghera and wanted to see Venice before our cruise so chose the hotel Garibaldi in Mestre after reading the reviews about the proximity etc.,The hotel location is perfect. Just a short walk to the bars, restaurants etc., and the bus stop to Venice is directly opposite the hotel. Check-in was quick and the Manager was the perfect host. We stayed in the economy rooms which were absolutely fine, very, very clean. The rooms are quite compact but there's a small closet and great shower. The hotel has a small bar which we found to be a great way to end the day with a night cap. Breakfast was excellent. The choice and service was second to none. We completed a list of items we would like from freshly cooked scrambled or boiled eggs, cereals, yogurts, toast, ham, cheese, pastries, juice etc., The table was laden with fresh bread, pastries, jugs of juice, fruit and the eggs were served to us. Fresh, hot tea/coffee and "cake" of the day was gorgeous. Everyone of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garibaldi, it was excellent value for money, lovely, friendly staff who all work exceptionally hard to provide a wonderful service. Thank you.

    Our 2 nights in this hotel met our needs perfectly. The room is old fashioned and basic, but it was a bed and bathroom which is all we needed. Our package (different hotels around Italy) didn't include breakfast, we chose to go over the road and had gorgeous pancakes and a full English!The staff make this hotel 5 star. Greeted like important visitors, made to feel incredibly welcome. Our flight home wasn't until late, but the hotel staff looked after our cases all day so we could enjoy Venice without them.Bus stop right outside, get on the no2 over the road and go all the way to Venice.Within walking distance is the town centre of Mestre - go! Thank you again Hotel Garibaldi, you made our short stay with you a happy one.
