Location

This hotel is beautifully located in Lido island in the centre of Venice. The hotel overlooks the sea and St. Mark’s Square is just 10 min away by boat, which run regularly, 24 hours a day. Numerous shopping and entertainment options are only steps away and the beach is just 300 m away. The famous Rialto bridge is around 1500 m away and Venice airport is within 8 km of the hotel.

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 3 villas/houses. The following room categories are also available: 3 junior suites, 6 suites, 5 single rooms and 62 double rooms.     This hotel is located on the Lido island across the Venice Lagoon from Venice city center. At first I was unsure about staying on the Lido but it is a lovely place to stay...just a short vaporetto ride to the city center... it is beautiful and quiet and a lovely place to walk, jog or ride around. The beach is gorgeous.As for the hotel, the main building of this hotel is very quaint and serene. It has a lovely courtyard, a nice sitting room, a restaurant and a breakfast nook. The morning breakfast is complimentary and has everything to offer you could want.Our room was in the main building. The elevator is very small, barely holding two people. The porter will bring your bags to your room (they probably wouldn't fit in the elevator). Our room wasn't small or large. It was very comfortable with a view overlooking the rear gardens and the pool. The hotel also offers complimentary bicycles which we rode all over the island...to the beach and to the "downtown" area where the shops and restaurants are located. The boat dock for rides to the city is located in the downtown area in the center of the island. It is an easy 10 minute walk from the hotel. We walked it every day, twice a day. It is a safe walk right along the water. There are benches to rest on and watch the sunset.

    We had an amazing stay, the breakfast wasn't just a box standard 'Continental' it has a huge choice, Our room although at the back of hotel was a little dark but lovely, bed was HUGE, shower was amazing, slippers and bath robes a lovely extra, staff very helpful THANK YOU Rea Arklie-Davies & Jim Davies

    It was between 75-80 degrees, what they called AC would never cut it in the states. I usually shower at night and I did here too. However because I was sweating so bad at night while I tried to sleep I also showered when I woke up. Rooms were mediocre at best. Very very very far from luxury is anyway. I asked for ice at breakfast and the guy told me there was some at the buffet. I said it was all melted to the point I had to use a spoon to sort out the cubes from the water? How hard would it be to get me ice? I didn’t hear a please or a thank you from anyone!

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Mabapa. My husband and myself had just come off an 11 day mediterranean cruise. The cruise was great, but hectic with having to see different ports each day, We welcomed the 3 days we stayed at Villa Mabapa. The staff was exceptional and friendly, especially Michele D'Antonio, the reception manager. He is caring, polite and so helpful in anything we required. The room was clean, cosy with a balcony to catch our breath on. The breakfasts were wonderful, with fresh ingredients and tasty. The hotel was in a very convenient location...close to shopping, water taxi's and water buses. All and all I would highly recommend staying at Villa Mabapa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would certainly go back. Sandy & Mark

    We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful family run hotel.Our room was spacious,spotless and well equipped with a comfy bed a mini fridge and excellent air conditioning.The Hotel is a 10 minute walk from the SME boat terminal ( we took the boat from the airport to the lido very easy to use and reasonably priced)The breakfasts we had were beautiful with lots of fresh fruits,wonderful pastries ,cheeses ,cereals lovely coffee and freshly squeezed juices The Dinners every evening we both agreed were the best we have ever had on holiday .They have an excellent Chef ! Everything was fresh and delicious the Loin of Tuna and the Monkfish was to die for ! all served by lovely staff and a Superb Maitre dThe location is tranquil with a view across the water to Venice (a better choice away from the crowds)The gentleman on reception (Michael) was so helpful and kind letting us have access to the Breakfast Room a little earlier on our departure day much appreciated .We would love to return perhaps in the Spring when it isn't quite so hot to fully explore on footThank you so much for a lovely stay Villa Mabapa, Accounting / Finance at Hotel Villa Mabapa, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind report.
