  Nice place, great location in Castello

  Stayed here as a couple for four nights. Our room (#3) was very spacious and bright, located at the corner of the building, so we had three windows, plus one on the bathroom. The room has a walk in closet, with a mini bar equipped with espresso machine, electric kettle, mini fridge and sink, all very welcome and convenient. Bed sheets and towels are good quality and we were satisfied with cleanliness. The building is located on a relatively busy canal so boats passing by can be heard at all times of day and night. Curtains are not very efficient blocking light so if you need total darkness to sleep, bring your sleep mask. Breakfast must be ordered the night before, via a form hung outside the room, and it is brought either to the room or to the courtyard below at the requested time. It is basic breakfast fare (bread, butter, fruit, cereal, yogurt, fruit, OJ, hot beverages) and two options of eggs, boiled or scrambled. The location is perfect: close enough to St. Mark's Square, but far enough from the hordes of tourists permanently commuting between St. Mark and Rialto. Also, it's conveniently close to the Arsenale vaporetto stop, which is much less busy than San Zaccaria and San Marco ones. A few cons are: the shower floods the bathroom floor. We had to put rolled towels on the floor agains the glass of the shower enclosure, to avoid the bathroom becoming a swamp after the first bather. Important to mention that the shower is excellent, with abundant hot water and a large rainfall style shower head. The shower enclosure also works as a steam room, but we never used it as such. Also important to mention that the ground floor of the building is home of a couple of restaurants, so when they are open, the reception area has a strong smell of food. You can actually see the cooks working, from the entrance courtyard. In fairness, we could not smell any food inside our room. Big highlight of our stay here was the service and support given by Franco. Such a nice gentleman, so helpful and always available with the best Italian disposition. Despite the few minor issues (nothing is perfect) we would definitely stay here again.

  Amazing hotel great location the room was unreal great amount of space sauna steam, we had a nice view out the window watching gondolas pass by ,had breakfast every morning brought to our room which was a really nice touch and the hotel staff couldn’t do enough for u thank you don luigi and franco for our amazing stay we loved it 10/10

  Unbelievably bad service!!

  We arrived at 3.pm BUT there was no open reception. The door were locked and when we called the telephone numbers NOBODY pick up the phone.We wait 45 minutes before we can get in. The guy which opens the door CANT SPEAK ENGLISH! So we get NO Information.The smell was very strong in the floors as well in the rooms.In this tiny Hotel is NO RESTAURANT!!!So we get a tiny breakfast on a plate in front of the door (with an already open Marmelade!When we left the hotel, we GET NO INVOICE!We complain by email, than we get via WhatsApp the receipt but NO invoice.As we ask via WhatsApp App again for the invoice and than they wrote us, „This is extraordinary request and we have to inform the hotel before, that we need this“!!!!Never again!

  A Quiet and Restful Hotel.

  A wonderful relaxing stay and a lovely spacious room. The bed was comfortable and the area quiet at night. Breakfast was delivered to us in a stylish manner and there was such a lot of delicious food provided. It was great to have tea and coffee making facilities in our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well as a short walk to the tourist hot spots.

  Best staff, best stay

  This was one of the best stays we had while in Europe. Oliver took really good care of us while we were there and was so accommodating to our needs. He was happy to help us with everything and anything and was so friendly. There was such a wide variety for breakfast and my phone wasn’t working to choose the preferences so Oliver personally came to our room and noted everything down the night before. The Turkish bath was also a really nice way to relax after a long day and we really couldn’t fault anything. The whole experience made us fall in love with the city even more and we’ll definitely be booking another stay here if we’re ever back in Venice.
