    Nonchalant Old-Fashioned Charm: Hidden Venetian Stay Steps from Rialto Mercado and Rialto Bridge.

    Tucked away behind the building, I walked through a narrow alley to reach the lodge. The room was clean and had an antiquated Venetian charm—high ceilings, long drapes, and a very efficient AC. The bed, however, was a bit of a mix: sturdy yet oddly bouncy. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the attendant was kind. Best part? Just steps from the Rialto Bridge, shops, and the nearby water taxi stop.

    Classic Italian style hotel. It looks exactly like the photos. Our room was small, but had everything we needed. We loved our stay. The service was excellent and it was super clean. Near water bus stop, so very easy to get around. Also easy walking distance to all the important sights. Nice local restaurants in the area and a Spar grocery store just around the corner.

    I would give this place a negative 10 if I could.This detail should be enough to judge your consideration to stay here:We actually paid the reservation price (over $650.00) then left and stayed somewhere else!!!!!It was impossible to find this place without the owner coming to find us and show us the way.You have to walk down a 4’-5’ wide passage way between disgusting buildings that you didn’t want your luggage wheels on!!!That passage way was filthy and smelled awful!!!The hotel foyer is literally as big as a standard sized car parking space. We knew right then and there that we could NEVER STAY THERE!We asked to see a room ‘not sure why, but we did’ and the quick look at the room was old and smelly.

    Better than expected! Great stay in center of Venice

    Stayed here for a few nights with family last week. Our stay was great: room clean, with tea/coffee set (that really compensates the fact that hotel does not serve breakfast). Room windows were facing one of canals, really nice view and location. Speaking of location - its near fish market, so in the morning smell might be not the best to keep window open. But other than that - Rialto bridge is nearby and all Venice suburbs are in walkable distance. Well done.

    Unusually spacious room considering it’s in the middle of Venice within 5 min walk of Ponte Rialto. Also very near some famous gelato and cichetti places. Rooms are cleaned regularly and the service staff polite and helpful. Beds and pillows are a tad hard but no a big deal. Water pressure in our room was pathetic but we were too lazy to complain. No elevator so prepare to haul your own luggage. Otherwise a very pleasant stay and would definitely come back again in the future.
