    Delightful Stay in Verona

    rating20 Jul 2025

This is a really great place to stay. Our visit was for two nights 7th and 8th July. The receptionists were super helpful and friendly (thank you, Sophia) The room was clean, elegant and well fitted out with comfortable beds and a really neat mezzanine floor for the double bed in a family room. The breakfast in the Cafe a few doors away in Bar Wally was really nice and the people were also really friendly. The hotel is very well positioned close to the city centre. On top of all this it was excellent value for money. We loved Verona - chilled and cool city - and it helped that our welcome here gave us such a positive first impression. Thoroughly recommended.

We only stayed here for one night. Somehow, we got lucky and were given a one bedroom apartment. This apartment couldn’t have been more spacious and clean. The bathroom was huge. Coffee and water were available for free. And in the refrigerator there were sodas and alcohol for a fee.The staff was delightful and easy to work with. Breakfast was not included however for five euros we were given a voucher to use at a cafe about a block away. We received Italian cold cuts and cheeses, an assortment of bread and whatever type of coffee we would like.We did take a taxi from the train station as it would have been about a 45 minute walk. The taxi came to approximately €14.

    Giusti Gem

    rating03 Dec 2024

What a gem! Stayed with my daughter for 3 nights and it was perfect. The room was on 2 levels which my daughter loved as it gave her her own space. It was warm, comfortable and clean had everything you need. The coffee machine was amazing! There is also a mini bar stocked daily at a small charge, water is free though, what did confuse me was no breakfast but I’d seen on other reviews you could order a continental? But on asking was told no so might be in summer? All staff on reception were lovely and helpful especially with directions, it’s around a 15min walk into the main area and 4 minutes to Giusti gardens which were stunning, even had turtles swimming in the fountain!

    Information

    rating25 Jul 2024

We just returned from our vacation to Italy and writing to inform you of how dissatisfied we were in the "Giardino Giusti House Court" booked through Expedia. I always choose Expedia as a trusted source of my booking but this time we were completely misled .Firstly, the accommodations were not accessible until 3pm. No lobby and no place to store our luggage. The information provided on the website under “special instructions” stated the front desk is open daily from 8:30am-7pm. This was incorrect. One day prior to checking in we received a reminder from Expedia that check in would be after 3pm. At this point we had already booked our train and city tour. We did not plan to check in early we just wanted to store our luggage until later. Due to this improper disclosure we missed our city tour and wasted two hours under the hot sun. After two hours, we finally received the room key. The experience was horrible. The living rooms are located separately and quite far from the office room. Our room was on the second floor with steep steps and no railings. I almost fell while carrying our luggage. In our room there was a cobweb on the ceiling and no blackout drapes/curtains as disclosed. Our window faced the parking lot and windows across the parking lot which was extremely uncomfortable. There was also no phone in the room. Our booking stated that a full breakfast would be provided but there was no breakfast room. Breakfast in paper bags was hung on a hook outside the room at 7 AM. We had to choose between a "sweet" breakfast or a "salty" one. I chose sweet and received two croissants and cup of fruits, while my husband chose salty and received a sandwich. This was obviously not a full breakfast as disclosed. Overall this was our worst travel experience, completely spoiling our romantic weekend in Verona.
