    Good advice given before arrival as to location of hotel and directions from the rail station. Though the hotel signage could be more prominent to aid confidence. Reception cheery and helpful, especially the young lady on the evenings of day 1 and 3. Room good size, bed comfortable. The external lighting and air conditioning noise was muted by good curtains and double glazing. Breakfast was also a delight, assisted by the cheery breakfast manager. An enjoyable stay.

    Used as one night stopover.So convenient to the train/bus station. 15-20 stroll to Arena. Friendly staff and adequate breakfast. Very clean basic room.

    We used this hotel for a one night stopover in Verona. It’s very much akin to a travel lodge. Clean, practical and doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a one night stay place.The only criticism I could give is that although the area right next to the railway station is a convenient place to be, it did feel rather unsafe walking back to it late at night after dinner in Verona. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone staying on their own - there’s a definite safety in numbers (or at least the impression of one!).

    We stayed here three nights and enjoyed our stay. The service at Montecarlo hotel is exceptional. The front desk staff helped us get around the city with suggestions for our visit. Rooms are great, breakfast and afternoon tea were well done. Couldn’t have been better. 5 stars all day.

    Friendly and informative check in, very clean, great blackout curtains! Was a great place, just a few details that fell short for the price of €160 per night. There was a big stain on the carpet outside our bathroom, there had obviously been a shelf/rack in the shower which had not been replaced. Breakfast was lovely, finished at 10am but when we went down at 9.30am there was only one table set - fine for me - but others who arrived after me had to sit at tables that weren’t cleaned down and reset, crumbs were everywhere! Would recommend but with a warning not to expect perfection!
