  A wonderful resort and peaceful escape

  My husband and I recently stayed at Excellence Oyster Bay, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The grounds are absolutely stunning—beautifully maintained, lush, and truly give you that tropical luxury feel. Everywhere you look, there are gorgeous views, whether you’re walking the property, relaxing by the pools, or enjoying the beach.The service was impeccable from start to finish. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay enjoyable. I would especially like to recognize Daniel, Alex, Orville, Omar, Ryan, Jason, and Orit. They were all outstanding and helped make our vacation memorable. If I missed anyone, I sincerely apologize. Housekeeping was fabulous, kind, and attentive, and turndown service was available each evening if desired.The food ranged from average to above average, and there was really nothing we disliked. Portions tended to be on the smaller side, so if you’re someone who enjoys trying multiple dishes or has a larger appetite, don’t hesitate to order more than one entrée. The drinks were consistently good, and there was always something available to suit your taste.For those looking for activities, there are plenty of offerings throughout the day and evening. We personally chose to spend most of our time relaxing, but we did enjoy the Bob Marley show, which was very entertaining. There are nightly shows and activities available for guests who wish to participate.I would also like to provide some constructive feedback regarding our villa. While every concern we raised was handled promptly and professionally by the butler team, there were a few maintenance issues that, at this price point, should ideally have been addressed before guest arrival. Our outdoor ceiling fans were not functioning, and several small maintenance items—such as doorknobs and drawers—needed attention. While none of these issues ruined our stay, they are details that should be checked and corrected between guests.The villa itself could also benefit from a few enhancements, such as privacy shutters on either side of the outdoor areas and ceiling fans inside the villa to help keep air circulating and improve comfort.Overall, Excellence Oyster Bay delivered a beautiful, relaxing vacation with exceptional service and a staff that truly cares about its guests. While there are a few maintenance areas that could be improved, the friendliness, responsiveness, and dedication of the team made a lasting impression. We would absolutely consider returning in the future.

  2nd trip to Oyster Bay!

  This was our second time visiting Excellence Oyster Bay. The first time was in 2021 for our honeymoon and then we decided to go back for our 5 year anniversary because the staff and resort was memorable and so welcoming! On this trip these were a few of the staff members that stood out to me and my husband but as always everyone was so excellent and went above and beyond during our stay! Danjay was excellent and remembered our names from just meeting in passing 1 time, he always made sure we were taken care! Transported us for check out and made sure the process went smoothly.Danielo took care of us at Zenith, set us up with a cabana two days in a row where towels were already placed and fun designs were made with towels.Tori Ann at Zenith made wonderful drinks and was so kind and showed great care.Danesha in Amora remembered our coffee order and has great hospitality and great conversations Marshalee was so sweet and kind at Zenith always checking on us and making sure we were taken care of!

  Beautiful Resort, Wonderful Staff, and One Very Dramatic Pool Step

  Overall, our stay at Excellence Oyster Bay Jamaica was okay, with some really great highlights and a few things worth mentioning.The staff was wonderful for the most part, and the bartenders were very attentive. They definitely helped keep the vacation energy where it needed to be, which was somewhere between “relaxed” and “please bring another drink".The resort itself is beautiful, but it is very long instead of wide, so be prepared for a lot of walking, especially if you are staying in the Club section. It was not a dealbreaker, but you will absolutely get your steps in whether you planned to or not.We stayed in room 6356 and had an issue with the air conditioner not working, but maintenance was very prompt and got it fixed quickly. The grounds were beautiful, though you could tell the resort has sustained some damage from Hurricane Melissa. A lot of the foliage appeared to be younger plants and trees, but they are clearly working on bringing everything back.The beaches were okay. There was not a large swimming area because of sargassum in the water, but that did not bother us too much. The pools were nice, but the pool steps were slippery, so definitely be careful getting in and out. I did sustain an injury, and for the record, no, I was not drunk. It was 8 a.m. My coordination apparently just likes to clock in early.As far as food, Zenith was our favorite. Magna was our least favorite. Spice hibachi was really good, and Lobster House was also very enjoyable.Overall, it was a decent stay with beautiful views, great staff, and a few areas that could use improvement. I would not say it was perfect, but we still had a good time.

  Fourth Stay

  This was our fourth stay at Excellence Oyster Bay. It has changed after being hit by hurricane Melissa. The vegetation and shoreline are very different. They are doing a great job replanting, and as far as the shoreline goes I think it’s better than before. Special thanks to Charmaine, Jayson, Christopher,Sheldon, Nigel, Kevon and Shevesha for making our trip so memorable.   Excellence Oyster Bay - Best of Jamaica Resorts and Hospitality

  I enjoyed myself at Excellence Oyster Bay in 2025 so much so that I dragged another group of friends back a year later. It's just an oasis with luxury accommodations, wonderful facilities and the best team of people who work so hard to make sure guests have a great time. I'm thinking of how I am going to get back there again next year. I have to give massive shout-outs to some of the EOB staff who stood out in a team of rockstars across the board -- Georgia at Mille spa --first and foremost. I booked a second appointment because of her skill and care and I would go back to the resort just for her treatments. Also, Chad at the main pool, Sean at Magna (which the new swim up bar and remodel = amazing), Everton and O'Brien at Spice (where we ate 3 nights in a row as it is the best food at EOB) and Keaseaction from both Spice and Caribbean Grill -- she remembered me from the year prior which is remarkable on its own and also gave such caring and conscientious service that she needs to especially commended. All-in-all, Excellence Oyster Bay is worth it a million times over and represents the best of Jamaica resorts and hospitality throughout.
