  For Value, convenience and service

  It was my second time to Hiroshima, the first not on a tour arranged itinerary. We needed a hotel that provided a lot of value for the price and somewhere that was conveniently located to many of the things that Hiroshima had to offer and see. My wife and I are familiar with the Tokyu brand as we’ve stayed in many Tokyu hotels in Japan so when we saw this as an option, we didn’t hesitate to book it. The rooms are a bit larger than your typical Japanese business hotel, the staff was all very friendly and accommodating and we were within walking distance to many things we wanted to see such as the Peach Museum, Peace Park and the Hatchobori. The have self-service laundry, which was helpful for us since we were going to be in Japan for a few weeks, a lounge area that was nice to spread out and do some work while getting some drinks and light bites as well as complimentary amenities that included shaving lotion, moisturizer, toothbrush/tooth paste and tea/coffee. The hotel for the most part was quiet and peaceful considering the busy area it was in and very close to multiple bus stops for us to get around the city.   Excellent base in Hiroshima

  Our base for a 2 night stay in Hiroshima and we arrived after a 10 minute taxi ride cost ¥1800 from the main train station The Hotel is modern centrally located only 10 minutes walk from the A bomb site and Hiroshima CastleWe had a double room which was spacious enough - the bed was a bit hard for our liking but the shower in the bathroom was very powerful . Our room 727 was on the 7th floor and was very peaceful at nightBreakfast was buffet style and plenty on offer including western and Japanese foodThere was an excellent Italian restaurant across the road Cafe Leone where we had a pizza for our first lunch and a delicious evening meal on our 2nd night - we also had drinks both nights in Molly Malones a 5 minute walk from the Hotel 渡加 雄一, 支配人 at Hiroshima Tokyu REI Hotel, responded to this review Thank you for staying at Hiroshima Tokyu REI Hotel.I am also very happy to hear that you had a comfortable stay.Our breakfast serves Japanese and Western cuisine that actively incorporates ingredients from Hiroshima Prefecture.Our menu is updated seasonally so you can enjoy it again and again.Also, please come and stay with us when you come to Hiroshima.Thank you.

  Stuffy room with smell of cigarette

  Hotel in a great location with friendly and helpful staff. Good room size per standard in Japan. However, I would definitely look for another hotel for my next visit to Hiroshima because of the following1. central heating (warm air only, my visit on 01-Dec for 4 nights) even when temperature of air conditioner panel was set to their minimum 18 degree Celsius. The room became extremely hot and stuffy especially no window could be opened. Their staff was helpful and responded quickly to my request of a cooling fan but the ventilation was still not satisfactory. 2. window could not be opened. hotel explained in writing this was due to safety reason which I found difficult to comprehend. It just made the room stuffy and hot3. smell of cigarettes in my non-smoking room (same for my friend’s room who was just next door). I told the reception who arranged another round of cleaning the following morning and smell of cigarette mostly gone. I hope such cleaning was done before my check-in4.   Ultra Modern

  This is a very modern hotel in a god location. The rooms are of moderate size - not tiny like so many Japanese hotels have. The beds are comfortable. It’s near an arcade where there lots of restaurants and shops. The breakfast buffet was okay but very crowded. It included green salad and some pasta dishes.   Beautiful structure, in an excellent position. The hall is large and spacious. Rich breakfast, but not VERY rich. Spacious room. There is no wardrobe but there is space enough for hanging clothes.
