    Located just a few minutes walk from Sanjo Station, its very accessible and close to most attractions in Kyoto. Theres a 7-11 outside the lobby for your daily necessities and not to mention other eateries in the vicinity. Staffs spoke good english and helpful. Room is huge for a Japanese standard and bed is very comfortable. I was there during the cherry blossom and was blessed with the sight of cherry blossom just outside the hotel and throughout the street. A great place to stay in Kyoto definitely!

    Very basic hotel. Old and musky. First room heater wasn't working so they shifted us to another room. Big regret because its even smaller and the window faces the wall. WiFi is almost non-existent. Toilet was super small. I could not even stretch my arms out sideways (and I'm only 5 feet). Half the basin cuts into the bathtub which made the bathtub even smaller. Only a few channels on the TV and its all in Japanese. Only plus is the location. Perfect for shopping, sightseeing, eating, etc. There is the covered Teramachi Street just about 50 meters away from the entrance. The happening Kawaramachi Street is just down the road. Its just a short walk across the bridge to Gion area. You'll get eateries and 24 stores just around the corner. Oh, its hard to find the hotel at first. Look for the 7-11 store and its directly behind it. Stay here only if you plan to be out of the hotel most of the time.

    Stayed here for one night. Needed an inexpensive room close to shops and main walking area. Great hotel for the price. Small but clean rooms. I even got a little bit of a view. Free wifi. The only downside for me was that I had rented a bike near Kyoto Station, but the hotel doesn't provide secure bicycle parking, so I had to park at a lot several blocks away.

    Convenient location, reasonably clean and the small room size is to be expected given the budget price, but the mattresses and pillows are in desperate need of replacement - very lumpy! That, combined with the stuffiness of the room (there is air-con, but in early April it was still set to hot air), meant I had possibly the worst sleep I've ever had in hotels.Complimentary wi-fi is a bonus.
