    Nice hotel overall, but with a few downsides. The laundry area is often overcrowded: there are too few machines for the number of guests, and the dryers are very slow and don’t dry properly. Every evening there’s a free drink included, which is a nice idea, although the quality is not great. It’s also a shame that tattoos are not allowed in the onsen, especially considering that most guests are foreigners and it really wouldn’t seem like a big issue. On the positive side, the location is excellent and even the cheaper rooms are more spacious than in many other hotels.

    I really enjoyed my stay at Sakura Terrace Hotel. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Kyoto Station, which made traveling around very convenient. The hotel has a calm, modern atmosphere, with a beautiful open courtyard that feels like a little retreat in the city.The public bath and free laundry facilities were a huge plus. I also appreciated the evening drink service, which made the stay feel more special. Staff were very kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable.The only small drawback was that the Wi-Fi in the room could be stronger, but it worked fine in the common areas. Overall, it’s a great value for the price and I’d definitely stay here again.

    Really nice hotel, fantastic breakfast and really attentive service. Free drink each evening with really kind bar staff. Clean onsen with sauna and cold plunge pool! Hotel surprised us with a bottle of prosecco for our anniversary which was greatly appreciated. Location a mere 5 minute walk from Kyoto station.
