    Nagano Tokyu REI Hotel 3*We spent two nights here on a tour, so not much time to use all the facilities.Good location near the train station. Big room with plenty of space to manage two suitcases. Tea/coffee etc available on 4th floor (reception). No safe. Gym on 3rd floor for a fee (£5). No tattoos. Gear can be rented; lots of complicated machines; dumbbells etc (but hotel guests can only use half of the gym). Take your own water. Slow and complicated lifts. Like all Japanese hotels, spotlessly clean with very polite staff. Check that the stairway doors are not propped open!

    We stayed two nights here which gave us ample time to explore Nagano and the snow monkey parkCheck in was easy and as usual all staff were so polite and pleasant. I just wish I spoke more Japanese to help out with their English.We were on the 9th floor with a decent sized room. You can see the mountains from here which contrasts sharply with the city view. No wardrobe, hangers on hooks and limited drawer storage. Not an issue for us rather an observation if you are staying longer and want to unpack.Breakfast was ok. The Japanese options are good. Some interesting breads which I enjoyed (usually avoid), the black chocolate chip one was my favourite with the rather orange tomato and cheese bread a second.All juices and the white water are very sweet, typically Japanese.     Great location and breakfast

    This hotel is in a perfect location for our short trip to Nagano to see the snow monkeys, right across from the train station, which is also where you get on the express bus to the Monkey Park. If that is the purpose of your visit, I highly recommend the Snow Monkey Pass to save money and add flexibility. The room was larger than others we’ve had in Japan and very comfortable. Great wifi. Kind and professional staff.     Convenient and functional

    Located directly opposite Nagano station. Clean and functional room. Daily towel change and bin emptying can be requested by placing sign on the door. Standard compact sized hotel room, however we were only in the room to shower and sleep. Toiletries, coffee and tea available in reception.
