  Old and dated, horrible beds, questionable area

  Family Trip in Feb 2024. 3 different rooms for 3 nights. They all suffer from a horrible, extremely soft mattress that sags in the middle. The rooms although similar to other Apa hotels were in worse shape and seemed to be suffering from lack of upkeep. The lobby is tiny and only has 4 chairs so it is hard to regroup with your group. It's also very busy. 1 elevator for the whole building. Easy walk to the train station 8-10mins, and 2 minutes from a 24hr Don Quijote. One single coin laundry and dryer located in the lobby area. One vending machine. The area where the hotel is located is a little seedy but we didn't have any problems. It's a red light district. There are soaplands and girl bars everywhere. If having girls and touts out on the streets looking for customers bothers you don't stay here and go on the other side of the station. As each guest has different preferences regarding the firmness of their mattresses, we are currently considering replacing the mattresses in-house to ensure that all guests can sleep comfortably.We will also discuss cleaning within the company and review our cleaning methods to prevent similar incidents from occurring.The location is good, and it's easy to get to all the sightseeing spots in Tokyo, so we hope you'll use us again when you come to Tokyo.

  Stayed there 4 nights lately.Location is good, many restaurants nearby. Service is good, staff can speak English. However, the hardware made me never stay this hotel again!1) water pressure, very high pressure. the faucet can tune to either very weak (like dripping), or very strong. After taking shower, half of the washroom, will be wet. I recorded and showed the video to the hotel staff who said it is the case in the hotel, nothing can be done.2) bed: extremely soft, there is no support on the mattress, not good for back.3) air-con: cannot tune to wind, it only gives out warm (hot) air, room is too hot though outside is less than 10 degree.   Great location and staff!

  My friend and I stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. The room was small like most Tokyo hotels but they made a great use of space so it never felt too crowded. The bed was very soft so I would not recommend if you need a firmer mattress for your back but we liked it. The bathroom amenities were very nice and they give you robes and slippers. Our stay came with free breakfast which featured more traditional Japanese foods like rice, seaweed, tofu and more, all of which were very good. We were also very happy they have a self laundry there that is reasonably priced. The staff were fantastic, even though there was a slight language barrier they would do all they could to help you and were so friendly. Overall it was a great stay!   The hotel is situated in a quieter part of ikebukuro. It is close to ikebukuro station, a station that services many lines. We wanted to visit our son and his family in Hoya, accessible via the seibu ikebukuro line, so that was the main reason why we chose this hotel. The service is good, the hotel is clean and checking in was a breeze. My only comment is that the room is very small. It is alright if it is only for a very short stay but we stayed for 12 nights and it was really a struggle to be comfortable. Location wise, i have no complaints. There are many eating places within a few metres from the hotel. Halal restaurants are really close by, with the Kaenzan pulled noodle restaurant next door, and marhaba pakistani restaurant 100m away.Big shops and convenient stores are within walking distance to the hotel.
