  Excellent helpful staff, but more geared to business travelers than tourists

  On the positive side, the staff were extremely helpful and generous with their time. The breakfast buffet provided by the hotel was extensive and delicious. The room was well equipped. On the somewhat negative side, the room was very small, and the hotel and neighborhood seemed more geared to business travelers than tourists.   I arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes before 3pm, the official check-in time, and I could not check in early. Waiting in the small lobby while super tired was no fun. No accommodation even I'm pregnant.   We paid for breakfast at the Hotel and it was not too bad. Stayed for more than a week taking into quarantine on arrival and all. The side dishes were mostly the same every day but tasty. Rooms were clean but depending where your room is, the space available for moving around might be very limited. And this is definitely a hassle when you need space for prayers and all.   Pricing very different

  The pricing is very different depending on the weekday up to 100% more expensive. We tried to get an early checkin what ended up in paying the day before as well which was unfortunately a very expensive day. Rooms are very small and very hot. Air condition is running only with room key card inside that means when you are in the room. After half an hour with this the room is very hot. Checkout very easy made due to prepaid accommodation APAHOTEL, Receptionist at APA Hotel Shimbashi Toranomon, responded to this review Thank you for your reviews to us. All of APA Hotel has three concept such as "High quality", "High function", and "Environment-friendly" and we're designed to eliminate unnecessary dead space and make the bed more versatile. But we're sorry for inconvenience about room space. Improvement right now is difficult, but we'll consider it as a reference for newly opened hotels in the future.   A great economical place. Breakfast was optional. The room was small but it was clean, comfortable, a large wall TV at the foot of the bed and with enough space for working on laptop computers. LAN connection as well as WI-FI as well as refrigerators in my room. Helpful friendly staff. A very nice, modest Italian restaurant, SU E Giu (pronounced JYU) is on the first floor. Take the Karasumori exit from the Shimbashi Station. It is about a 10 minute walk. A cab is approximately 700-yen if you don’t feel like lugging your baggage. A 7-Eleven is a couple of doors away.
