Good and peaceful location worth considering

    rating24 Apr 2026

Overall this was a nice hotel for its price. Well located and clean. The area was very quite come evening and weekends. It has a Lawson right beside - perfect for those quick snack trips. There’s also a Starbucks and 7-11 down the street…very convenient as well. I like the neighborhood as across the street, there are nice small restaurants and breakfast nooks - all walkable. Although the hotel serves breakfast a the GF restaurant, choices are quite limited. It’s better to explore and walk around as there are numerous small businesses which serve good coffees and breakfast meals. Hotel staff are very helpful and polite. When asking for extra towels, they were able to bring it up to the room within minutes. I enjoyed our stay at Ginza Capital and would consider coming back for another visit.

    Positively surprised

    rating22 Oct 2025

Given the 2-star rating and affordable price tag for centrally located Tokyo hotel, we didn't expect much, but were positively surprised.Very friendly (English-speaking) staff at reception. Comfortable, clean, and surprisingly spacious room. Despite its location on a busy road, it was quiet, and we slept very well. Bathroom was OK. Nothing fancy, but functional and clean.Very conveniently located, right next to two different metro stations, and also within easy walking distance of the Old Tsukiji Fish Market. What we felt let the hotel down was the breakfast. It may be OK for Japanese guests (though JPY 2,000 felt over-priced for the limited options available), but not for foreigners who would like to have bread in the morning (though admittedly, this is a common problem in hotels across Japan). They only had mini-croissants (not the best) and wrapped toast bread. Clearly not enough to justify the price, so we opted to go to a nearby coffee shop instead.

Lovely hotel in Ginza with easy Metro access

    rating16 Sept 2025

It was suggested to us to stay in the Ginza area based on how short of a trip it was as well as the shopping availability. The location was wonderful for us. Steps away from two different Metro lines affording easy access to other parts of the city. It was a short walk to the river and fish market as well as the high end stores the area is known for. Others have stated it was on the fringes of Ginza with long walks to shopping, but it was really not that far.Rates were very affordable for our dates.Room was a little on the small side but had the necessary amenities. That did not warrant my deducting a star for that reason. It could have done with a bit more counter space for two women sharing a room what with our cosmetics and such!Check in is at 3 and they stick to that but luggage storage is available. There is no included breakfast but it could be added to rate. We opted for no breakfast .Lawson is across the street and there is a Family mart kitty corner, as well as a 7-11 a couple minute walk away. We would pick up something there for breakfast. Those stores will normally have a microwave to heat something you purchased, but the hotel also has a micro in the laundry room, along with ice machine and water dispenser (hot and cold). All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and our lack of Japanese language was not an issue.Would definitely stay again should I be fortunate enough to return to Japan!

Affordable & Convenient Hotel in Ginza

    rating18 May 2025

Ginza Capital Hotel Moegi is one of the many small hotels in Ginza, Tokyo. Taxi ride from Haneda Airport to the hotel is about 25 minutes, costing around JPY 9,000 at night. There are a number of metro stations nearby, and at least 2 convenient stores within 3-min walking distance. The nearest department store is approximately 8-min walk away. The location is very convenient. Online reservation is straightforward. The well-ventilated Standard Twin Room is of acceptable size. Although there is no closet or drawer, there are hangers. The bathroom is small but bright and well equipped; the hairdryer is very strong. Wi-Fi is complimentary. HK$ 750/night on average is very reasonable in the Ginza area.

    Review

    rating05 Jan 2025

I stayed in this hotel from Dec. 24-31 and got one room for 2 people and another for 3 people (3 beds though I know sometimes they give the 2 beds and 1 sofa bed). I had no problems with anything, the room was pretty spacious, with enough space to open your luggage flat and still have more room to walk. The beds were bigger than I thought cuz I expected it to only fit 1 person, but it was big enough for 2. The bathroom was bigger than I expected and by Japan's standards. The place was very quiet at night and conveniently located near the Tsukiji station and Shintomichi station. There's a Lawson right next to it, a Family Mart almost across-ish, and a 7-Eleven a few streets away. The only downside was that it was a bit far from Ginza High Street, but it was more or less just a 10-15 minute walk, so it wasn't that bad. The lobby is on the 2nd floor, and there is both a Japanese and an English-speaking receptionist in the concierge who helped us call for a taxi (he even led us to the taxi himself). Overall, i had a pretty good experience staying in this hotel, I was a bit nervous when I booked it cuz the reviews I read online were a mix of good and bad, so I didn't really know what to expect. It actually surpassed my expectations.
