    10/10 - I would stay here again.

Pros• Excellent location in Akasaka, just a 4-minute walk from the station.• Plenty of food options nearby for all meals, and 7/11 just across the road. • Rooms were very clean with daily housekeeping.• The size of the room was decent, bigger than I expected/heard and we could open 3 suitcases at one time. • Most staff were friendly and helpful; one gave great food tips and another assisted with luggage transfer to another hotel. • Translation screen for Japanese–English communication was very useful.Cons• Heating/AC is controlled by the entire floor, not individual rooms—temperature changes depend on others.• One female staff member was unfriendly and unapproachable.

    Great location

Great location. Near strain station. Made it easy for us to get to Japan National Stadium for the world athletics. Lots of restaurants and bars and shops nearby. The staff were really helpful when we lost a bag. They went above and beyond to help us. The hotel was clean and had all that we needed. Would recommend

    Friendly staff. Great hotel!

We visited Tokyo for 4 nights, we stayed here and loved it. The staff were so welcoming and one of gentleman even stayed up late to check us in. As expected, the room was super small but cosy. This was not a problem as we were out of the room exploring most days anyway. The only thing I would say is that the breakfast options were very limited for English people, however, this isn’t a problem if you’re not fussy. Thanks for a great stay! I would definitely recommend.

    Great location

    rating06 Aug 2025

We had to get 2 separate rooms for a family of 4, which was not a problem. One parent and one child per room and our rooms were next to each other. Room sizes were typical for Japan - smaller than western standard. We were prepared for this and found no issues with space. Overall, the room was clean. Front desk staff was very nice and pleasant. Our favorite part of the hotel was its location. It is close to 2 train stations (one was Harry Potter themed) so it was easy to get around. It was in a nice little area with small streets lined with shops, restaurants and convenience stores. You can walk a few minutes and you're in a more metropolitan area - City scape. It is also walking distance to Hie Shrine. The only thing we would have liked was an area to bring food back and eat. Since the rooms are smaller and we had 2 separate rooms, it wasn't ideal to grab food and bring it back to our rooms. It would have been nice to have a spot to sit and eat food we bring back. Not a huge deal though. We would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Generally a very nice hotel but with a couple of quirks to be aware of

    rating15 Nov 2024

Nice hotel generally, but with a few issues - most of which have been raised by previous reviewers. My biggest issue was that upon checking in (after a long journey) I found that my double room had no desk. Reception insisted it did and showed me a miniscule side table that you could barely fit a laptop on let alone a mouse. I then did the same translation machine struggle with the staff to try and get a room with a desk, which is essential for me, and is pretty much a standard feature of every hotel room I have ever been in. It turns out that the "semi-double" room has a desk whereas the "double" room doesn't. I booked double as I assumed it was the largest of the options, but it turns out that the rooms are the same size, but the double room has a larger bed, which leaves no space for a desk. So beware - if you need a desk, book the semi-double. Apart from that, everything was good - comfy bed, nice and clean, plenty of hot water, internet worked well, and location is excellent. Breakfast is not a buffet but a la carte, and the options are a bit weird and limited, so that's not wonderful, but for a short stay not too bad. I would recommend the hotel but I suggest you read some of the reviews here to check on the quirks before deciding which room to book.
