    Deceptive pricing

    rating14 Oct 2024

This hotel advertises their room rates as "tax included". I booked a room and pre-paid. But when I arrived at the hotel, I was not allowed to my room without paying additional tax on the spot.I raised this issue with the hotel staff and they basically said, "yeah, it's not on the website, but you have to pay it."Deceptive, dishonest and fraudulent. If you are going to stay at this hotel, be aware that the advertised price is a lie.

The bed was like sleeping on the floor

    rating03 May 2024

Stayed here six nights and it was the worst bed I ever sleep on in any hotel .It was like sleeping on the floor very hard thin mattress and small uncomfortable pillows. For two people this bed is very tight and pushed up against the wall makes it hard to get in and out of .After 6 nights on that bed my back is wrecked. This is not a Japanese thing the previous hotel I stayed in Tokyo had the most comfortable bed and pillow I ever slept on .Japanese are big on comfort that is why I was so surprised by this rock hard bed .I ask front desk if they had any better beds and they didn’t really all they need to do is get a memory foam topper or some other plush topper to put over the cheap mattress as the mattress they have is like a box spring without a mattress on top .They only clean the room every three days as I was there 6 days I ended up doing a lot of my own cleaning.I got to the hotel 2 hours early before check in and in every hotel I have arrived early they would automatically check to see if by chance the room is ready and let you check in early. But not here they just automatically say check in at 3pm without even looking to see if it is ready .Why a hotel would not let someone check in early makes no sense it doesn’t cost them anything but they get some good will for free from the customer.Check is another strange thing as they have these terminals in front of the desk you are to use .They have enough front desk and they gladly help you use these things but it seems a pointless waste to have these in the lobby .You have enough staff let them check in the quests directly why are they complicating things ? Not sure the reason why all the customer facing front desk staff are wearing surgical masks but it is not a good look for the hospitality business. If they fix the problems I mentioned this would be a decent hotel the location is good close to metro and it is a new stylish hotel .But I would never stay here again I need a good comfortable night sleep .

Just avoid this hotel at all costs

    rating30 Dec 2023

I am currently staying at KEIO Presso Inn Hamamatsucho over the New Year with a friend. Our experience, however, was marred by disappointing hospitality. Arriving early at 7 am after a bus journey from Kyoto, I wasn't feeling well and inquired about the possibility of an early check-in. To my surprise, I was informed that it would incur the full price of 34,000 yen, surpassing the total bill for two nights, which was 32,000 yen. While I understand the importance of rules, I was hoping for some flexibility or at least a more apologetic response. Unfortunately, negotiations were futile, and the staff maintained a rigid stance. This lack of consideration for guests left me with a sense of frustration, making me apprehensive about spending two nights in an environment that seems indifferent to customer satisfaction. For those seeking a friendly and accommodating atmosphere during their travels, I would advise avoiding KEIO Presso Inn Hamamatsucho based on my experience.

    Lovely well located Hotel

    rating18 Sept 2022

I stayed her three times in July / August with my wife. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms may be small, but our suitcases fit under the bed, so no problems.Breakfast, even though a bit repetitive was good and enough to put us on for the day. Rooms well equipped, and amenities tray in foyer for tea, milk, razors, toothbrushes etc.Well situated for metro, subway and JR lines, all within about 5 minutes walk, plus monorail direct to Haneda Airport. We were able to leave our large luggage here whilst travelling.Would definitely stay here again when next in Tokyo.

    Quiet and Convenient

    rating27 Dec 2019

I stayed here on business for three nights. The room was as dark and silent as the inside of a football, the bed a tad too firm for my tender hips, but I slept well, very well. The hotel has been open for only two years, so everything is clean and new. Breakfast was pretty good. It certainly beats trying to go out for breakfast in Tokyo. For lunch or dinner there are tons of restaurants within easy walking distance. The subway is close by, too. And Tokyo Tower is about 5 minutes away. I got some sort of deal: 25,000 for three nights. I am not sure what the regular rate might be.
