    Perfect overnight Tokyo stay

    rating24 Apr 2026

I booked 1 night here for a 24-hour stop in Tokyo. Very convenient location in Shibuya. The walk from Shibuya station is slightly uphill, so could be challenging if you're carrying a lot of luggage. The entrance and lobby have quite a welcoming and intimate ambiance. Room is tiny yes, but that's a known and worthwhile tradeoff for the location. The room was clean and quiet, and all the amenities were available from the lobby. The next morning I simply checked out, walked to Shibuya station (now it's downhill so very easy with the luggage), put the luggage in a locker, and shopped around Shibuya until it was time to take the Narita Express to the airport.

Good location and good value for money

    rating22 Sept 2025

This is a “nothing special but perfectly fine” three star hotel in a very good location and at a very good price. 4/5I read several reviews before booking, and found most of the “negatives” a bit difficult to explain. Frankly I think the reviewers are “bitching” for no serious real reason. The rooms are not small at all if you have visited hotels in London and Paris. They could indeed use a facelift (a bit old fashioned decor), and they are bit short of daylight, but perfectly adequate if you only sleep there. Not great if you need to do office work during the day. Pillows were fine despite the comments of some reviewers. The location is spot on, a very short walk to Shibuya station with plenty of restaurants and night life.Crossing the street with luggage can be a pain because of the stairs, but if this is an issue there is a flat crossing three minutes up the street. The staff - just amazing. Friendly, great service, excellent English. Clearly enjoy their work.

    Decent hotel in great location

    rating08 Jun 2025

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to Shibuya and Yoyogi park.Staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was so so though. It would benefit from a bit of a refurbishment. The carpet floor did not seem too fresh and clean. But it had all we needed for a few nights stay and was comfortable enough.

    Not terrible, but not great...

    rating01 Mar 2025

Pros: A very friendly front-desk staff, a great location (I'd cut through the mall across the street and be in Shibuya station in about 2 minutes. Also, there are 4 7- Elevens and 2 Family Marts within 3 to 5 minutes of the hotel) and a fabulous price for such a prime location.Cons: An elevated bathroom (about 8" off the floor), a tiny pillow about the thickness of comic book, 2 hangers, zero storage or space for personal items (no shelves or cabinets. There isn't anywhere in the bathroom to leave a toothbrush, and the desk is covered by the items that are usually elsewhere in a room), the air control panel is useless and you can't open the window to get cool or warm, and lastly, you cannot get by the staff without giving up your key.

    Tiny very cluttered rooms

    rating13 Nov 2023

Tiny rooms, as others have noted. But the hotel could have made the rooms pleasant with white walls and efficient furnishings that gave you a place to put your stuff. Instead, the room had drab wallpaper, faux French country furnishings (including wrought-iron bedposts), and a ton of unnecessary junk filling the narrow desk space at the window. When there is barely enough room to move, much less open your suitcase, you don't want the only horizontal surface in the entire room covered with: note pad, make-up mirror, several plastic holders with notices, telephone, teakettle and cups on a tray, and TV. The chair in front of the desk was so hemmed in by the bed in back of it that I don't think one could have sat at the desk in any case (so why was the chair even there), but at least one would like some open space to put one's things on. The bed was marginal, with the tiniest pillow I have seen in a hotel room and no extra pillows. No night table next to the bed (because then you would have no room to get to the desk, I guess). Really an almost impossible room to live in.That said, the staff were pleasant and helpful, and though I would never choose this hotel again, if I had had to stay longer (I moved to a different hotel after one night) I would have been ok..
