Make sure you find right deal right time (they seemed to have early bird)

The GoodStaff are wonderful. Very polite, friendly, multi-language and smiling. Breakfast staff are also energetic and thats all to ask for. Breakfast were okay. As a matter of fact, I would even say great for "free" breakfast with that quality. The BadI believe this is more of their Housekeeping issue alone. There was a trash next to trashcan. Meaning, they probably were hurrying to empty trash and not double checked. It was around 10am... 11am I am not sure. Almost all doors are open on the floor were I stayed without presence of any staff. Few of them are STAYING GUESTS. Meaning, if I am a theft, I could have go in and just take whatever I want to then walk out like no one's business. Even if not, I had all the time I needed to simply look into other guests privacy. (not that I did) So, I imagned if my room were opened like that when I am out, I thought it be very shocking. Yes, there are cameras and it's quite obvious no one would come and just steal or look into other guests room but... that's not the point right? Another bad was the room. So hard to keep things, they had nice bed but just hard to find a spot to simply put things. I basically had to mix my worn dirty clothe with clean clothes piled up. etc.etc. I was lucky to stayed with very budgeted deal. But if you pay normal rate, I doubt it. I've subtracted two star but added one star back in due to the location.Very nice location to enjoy both UENO and Akihabara.

Small room and bathroom but everything else is great!

    rating06 Jan 2024

The name Super is similar to how the Japanese make the sound of "spa", so this is a hotel with a spa pool. Front desk: There is a pillow selection, which is great for sleep. The staff is very friendly. They gave each female guest an envelope of a series of beauty product samples. You pick up your own amenities outside of the elevator, including tea powder, a hair brush, a small scrubbing tower, a razor kit, etc. You also pick up pajamas (for the spa) from the same pillow shelf. The pajamas are not the traditional Japanese Yucata, it’s a button down long gown, very easy to wear. Breakfast: Delicious but mostly Japanese options. No milk, only a banana smoothie. The menu changes every day. The eggs are excellent (but they don't make it everyday), so are the pastries. I also like the soup machine where it has 3 types of soup (corn, beef, miso), but they are not freshly made, just powder with hot water, yet still taste good. Room: Very small bathroom; so small that the shower and sink share the same water control tap, which is a smart design. There’s no waste bin in the bathroom. There is a mini fridge in the room and there’s a microwave oven in the hallway for shared use (odd number floors only). Keyless access with a 6 digit code that is also used for hotel entrance after midnight. They do housekeeping every 4 nights unless you request one. But they deliver fresh towels, a bottle of water, and trash bags to you every day by hanging a bag on the doorknob. A bit wasteful in my opinion as we can certainly re-use the towels if we don’t need daily housekeeping. The spa pool: Has different hours for men and women. I find the schedule inconvenient for women as they mostly coincide with breakfast and dinner time. There is only one pool and it’s indoor and it's not big. It’s carbon infused hot spring, you can see some small bubbles from the water. For women, there’s a serum gel in the vanity area and some Q-tips, but there are no other products. Only women were given a 6 digit code to enter the spa area, but it’s not the same code as entering the room, which is rather confusing to memorize 2 different codes.Free open bar: Every day during happy hour, the staff puts out free alcohol next to the front desk. There are hot sake, cold sake, sparkling sake (yum), a few kinds of whiskey, red wine and white wine (in twisted caps, no cork), liqueurs, and shouju. It's a generous offer, and not many guests are taking advantage of it. Laundry: easy to use, 100 yen per wash/dry. There are two machine sets right next to the public bath. Overall we are happy with our stay. The location of the hotel is convenient for shopping and eating.

Cost effective room for solo travellers

    rating15 Sept 2023

The service and location of this hotel is great! It's just outside of the busy centre of Akihabara in a relatively quiet street, but quite close to multiple stations across multiple lines (Okachimachi, Suehirocho, Ueno-Hirokoji, Akihabara, Yushima). There's a lot of trendy cafes and artisinal shops on the streets around Okachimachi too.The no-frills buffet breakfast offers continental and Japanese options, and I'd definitely recommend arriving before 8am, as this breakfast space gets crowded! I'd say that the room space is quite tight for larger solo/duo travellers, and navigating the bathroom can be a bit cramped. However, if you're only using this room to shower/sleep/eat breakfast, it makes for a very cost-effective hub for a traveller.

    Loved it!

My partner and I stayed here earlier this year for a night. Great location, super nice staff, clean room and great breakfast. Would 100% recommend staying here.Only slightly negative was that checkin is not until 3pm and you cannot get into your room any earlier than that. BUT we were aware of this beforehand.Still would stay here again!
