  So much mold!

  This has got to be one of THE worst places I have ever stayed at! There is mold everywhere in the bathroom! Granted, in hard to clean places, but it is sooo much and quite visible!!! And even the bureau in the room itself has mold, like how?? Furthermore the washing machine instructions aren’t very clear in english. I would never book this hotel again!

  This was decent enough hotel, though having stayed in multiple others across Japan over two weeks, all around the same price, this one wasn't the most basic. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The room itself was very clean but small and felt dated, and the air con was very noisy. There were the basic amenities but no face wash etc. like in other hotels. Location was great, near to the station, a 7-11 on the corner, and a Don Quiote 2 minutes away. The washer-dryer in the room was a nice touch and we were grateful to have use of this, but it really added to the temperature in the room when in use.

  We arrived at this hotel a little late at night around 10/11pm(ish) on March 31st, 2025. We travelled a long 9 hours on the plane and then trying to navigate the train systems was a bit frustrating, but we managed to get our way to Tokyu Stay Shinagawa. While we were looking for the hotel it was raining so we were walking with our checked in luggages in the rain trying to find the hotel. When we finally found it we were greeting by the front desk lady with a very unapproachable and unfriendly facial expression. She did not smile once nor explain any ammenities. We only stayed there for one night, but it seemed like the language barrier was the main factor why she pushed a piece of paper at me to fill out with my info on it and then sent us upstairs. I understand that the language barrier can be frustrating, but it seems like she didn't even try at all. I even speak a little Japanese, but she didn't have the patience with us that night. I wrote my name on the piece of paper when she told me to "fill out here" and when I asked her if I needed to fill everything else out she got frustrated and just took the paper back and then gave us our keys. I'm glad that we only stayed there one night during our trip because I wouldn't come back or recommend this hotel to any of my friends/family. After a long journey the last thing you want to deal with is people who hate their job? or maybe hate people who does not speak the same language? Not sure, either way, I brushed it off because I didn't want her to bring down my mood at the VERY beginning of our trip, however, I just wanted to express how this small interaction would've went a lot differently if she at least tried..

  Cute and convenient hotel

  Tokyu Stay was our final destination before heading home. There was a slight hiccup during check-in, but after presenting them with my booking details, they apologized and fixed it asap. The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The rooms were a decent size for Tokyo standards and beds were comfy. Washroom was good and we had a washer/dryer unit in the room. It seemed to take a very long time to finish 1 load (3 hrs) but that could be a user error on our part. They provide luggage transfer services, free tea/coffee in the lobby, and were kind enough to store our luggage for a few hours after checking out as we still had some time and wanted to do a quick trip to Asakusa. There is access to the train station right outside the hotel if taking the Asakusa line, otherwise, it's a 5 min walk to the JR/Yamamote lines and 30-40 Mins to Haneda airport. I would consider staying here again based on the value and location.

  Professional staff and the room was spacious, the washing machine is definetly one of the bigger selling points for me as i buy a lot of clothes.Its also near the station which gives it a big plus so you dont have to walk far, there is also a 7-11 right around the corner and don quijote 2 minutes away.
