  Could be better but okay for location and price.

  The location and price you can’t beat. About a 7-10 min walk to the Sunshine Prince Hotel Airport limo bus, a decent supermarket down the big road and tons conbinis, and some anime stores (kbooks). Not that far from Sunshine city and Ikebukuro station. The coin-laundry and free drinks/manga on the first floor was useful too.The room size is normal for Tokyo and the hotel class. Housekeeping was good in keeping the basics clean every three days. Temperature of water and heat were good for the winter.The harder things like walls and curtains needed some cleaning. When we checked in the trash cans had visible liquid(?) stains on the top cover and sides. There was a weird smell on and off in the bathroom when we checked in and throughout the stay. There is an air freshener spray with a neutral forest scent for use that helped with that.The staff friendliness could use more work compared to my stay last year at the upgraded Hotel Wings International Select location in Ikebukuro. Some of the female front desk staff were unprofessional, gossiping like bully highschool students about some of the guests checking in and/or grabbing amenities while the guests were still in the same area. Could pass if guests didn’t know but for those who know Japanese visiting Japan, it made me feel uncomfortable interacting with some of the rude front desk staff for the rest of my stay. Not all staff was bad, my friend asked the male front desk and he was very helpful in providing directions to airport bus and Ikebukuro station.Unless it’s for a shorter stay, I will go back to Select location nearby or try a different chain if the less friendly service is a result of the Koko hotels rebrand.   Great Hotel, service and amenities

  Stayed here for 5 nights, like any hotel in Japan the rooms are quite small but all in all it’s a great hotel. A 7-11 just steps away which is super convenient, Yamanote line about 10 minutes walk and washing and drying facilities as well as vending machine and kitchen for everyone to use. Super happy with our stay here as it’s close to everything, had everything we needed.   Everything about this hotel was average in my opinion. Nothing really stood out. The only real complaints I had is 1) that the rooms don't have individual control of the air conditioning (it's central air), so we spent the 1st night having to sleep in 28degC, and 2) the hotel borders a busy, noisy street. The staff did adjust the room temp the 2nd night so we were much more comfortable. Room size was small as expected, but everything was clean and relatively comfortable.   Not comfortabele stay

  The room was Tiny and not clean. There was thrash under the bed and desk area from travellers before us. The bathroom had mold. The curtains had yellow stains from smoking. There were bugs in the room who bit me because of the dirt. After that they cleaned under the bed. The bed was very hard, i got daily backpain. They offer WiFi but iT is very slow, iT Will not load. Location was great. A lot to do within walking distance.Staff was very friendly, but did not speak english very well.   Inaccurate information and Unhelpful Guest Service

  When we first arrived there was a communication issue as the Booking agent and the Buyer had not booked accurate dates that matched our itinerary and the staff were very inefficient in helping at 12 midnight We sorted out our dates and then arrived back to which the Staff were going to hold our luggage until we paid a missed reservation fee! We didn't make a separate reservation we had commented we may come back if we needed to, no reservation no confirmation at all, again very unhelpful and somewhat arrogant about the processFew things about the Hotel Non Smoking floors have smoking floors above and below and a Central air conditioning system making for smoking rooms smell through out our NON Smoking room - not well planned A few amenities are not available like daily water with room, Laundry service and irons The bathroom had mold all along the back of the shower, while i understand the bath skin system it is not pretty to look at or see The Rooms are small, very small and hard to fir western luggage into, so this is only a suitable room for short stay or if little luggage Overall would not suggest this location compared to others we have seen in area for cheaper wingike, Front at KOKO HOTEL Ikebukuro East, responded to this review Thank you very much for staying at our hotel.We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the booking mistake caused by your agent's mistake and the lack of guidance for the staff of the hotel.In terms of facilities, immediate improvement is a difficult part, but we will continue to provide services that can be more reliable.We look forward to welcoming you again.Front Tagami
