  I had a wonderful stay at Stabu Sēta Residence. The staff were exceptionally polite, helpful and genuinely friendly, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The rooms come in various sizes, and some even include a bathtub — if you prefer having one, it’s best to request it during booking along with any other special preferences.Breakfast was excellent, offering a generous buffet selection with porridge, hot options like scrambled eggs, and lovely coffee. I also appreciated that lactose-free milk was available. The whole atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful, and with the reception open 24/7, everything feels easy and relaxed.The location is fantastic — plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance — and the spa area with a sauna and jacuzzi is a great place to chill and unwind. The ladies at reception were especially friendly and made me feel at ease right away. You can even purchase alcohol at the hotel and take it up to your room, and the small fridge provided is very convenient.Overall, it was a great stay, and I will definitely be coming back!

  Amazing location, clean residence however cleaner is loud early in the morning.

  I arrived the facility and the staff was polite and the instructions were given clearly. The hotel was located very close to the old town/ art gallery and everything in the work worked. However, the toilet lid came off its frame, the cleaner was very loud in the morning ( from as early as 8:30am) and the bed linen was too small for the bed and kept coming off.

  Second Visit to this Charming Hotel

  My second visit to this charming hotel, this time a 5 night ladies-only long weekend trip for Latvia’s longest day celebrations. I stayed in room 37 and although I booked a single room I was very pleased to have a double bed and a nice size bathroom with an obviously very new corner shower unit. The bed was very comfortable with adequate bedding and as the room was really a double I had double the amount of towels. There was a handheld hairdryer hanging from a towel hook in the bathroom but I did take my own. There was a floor standing fan in the room but it was difficult to plug in anywhere near the bed due to the location of the sockets but I did bring my own small fan which I put on the bedside table, a flat screen TV and a good size fridge. Unfortunately there is no kettle or coffee making facilities in the room but as this was my second visit I brought my own travel kettle and supplies.We all paid in advance for breakfast which is served in a very nice breakfast room in the basement and offers the choice of plenty of hot and cold food, cheese, pastries, assorted teas, fruit and fruit juices. The free coffee machine in the reception was kept well stocked this year (unlike last year when it was always either out of cups, water or beans). The Reception staff we dealt with were all super friendly and spoke very good English. The external courtyard has had a bit of a makeover this year and was a great spot to sit either before breakfast or last thing at night waiting for friends.I would definitely recommend this hotel for it’s charming rooms, great location just a 15 minute walk from the old town and helpful staff.

  It's a very good, cozy hotel and very budget friendly. We had a room on the top floor and it was very cute. The only con is that the walls were very thin, we could hear anyone walking in the corridor, so we were whispering. The rest of the stay was amazing

  Stayed here for the Latvia v Wales football. Perfect location as stadium just along the road.Check- in was easy and reception welcoming. Arrived early and while could not access the room there was no problem leaving our bags there.Room was spacious, beds comfortable and clean. Wi-fi was good large clean bathroom.Only criticism was shower head sprayed in all directions but other than that the room was great.Breakfast had plenty of variety and was tasty. 25 minute or so easy walk to old town and felt very safe at all times of day and night.Riga is a fantastic city and I'd love to return and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
