  Great location just a short walk from the old town, there were plenty of restaurants and shops near the hotel and it was a good base for exploring the city.The hotel doesn't have a reception, you will receive the room number and access code via text or email, there is no check in or check out. There was some staff there in the breakfast room, but they're only working from there processing reservations etc. Though they were friendly and helpful when I wandered in looking for a water cooler/fountain.The room I had was an attic room on the 4th floor, though it was really spacious with an inner courtyard view. The bathroom was a good size and clean with shower gel and soap and towels.Breakfast is self service, with a choice of bread with cheese and cured cold meats, croissants and cereal, along with tea, coffee and fruit juice and the staff were friendly.   Road construction, nonexistent staff, and broken A/C

  As of August 2025, Old Town Kaunas is under major repair. Getting to this hotel by car is a headache, as Waze kept routing me around the construction zone, in and out of Old Town, each time charging a €2 fee. Just trying to reach the hotel ended up costing me about €6–8 in wasted entry fees.When I finally got there, there were no available parking spots. The hotel only has about five spaces out front, so unless you’re very lucky, you’ll need to figure out parking on your own.The room itself was unbearably hot. The air conditioner didn’t cool the room at all. In fact, it blew warm, humid air. Even after leaving the A/C running for all afternoon annd evening, the room temperature didn’t improve. With only one small window facing direct sunlight, opening it didn’t help either.On top of that, there were several large spiders in the bathroom. I reported this with photos via WhatsApp, but never got a response. The bathroom blinds also looked dusty and in need of cleaning.   The only good thing I can say about this hotel is its location - right next to the Old Town. The rest - I will never stay there again. The hotel positions itself as a 4-star hotel; however, I would not give it even 2 in terms of service and attitude. There is no parking at the hotel, so you have to park outside and pay accordingly; it was something like 34 euros per night and half day - because it is practically in the Old Town. There is no reception and an automated check-in. If something does not work you must call them, but it took us good 20 minutes to get through because "all operators are busy at the moment" - it was in late afternoon.We were probably the only guests at the hotel, but they put us on the 4th floor, and there is no elevators! Step with the suitcase was not a kind of activity I prefer after a long drive and a hard working day.The room was cosy, but due to the skewed roof it was not possible to stay straight near the bathroom mirror.And the breakfast was really poor, almost no choice.   Horror movie!

  Grossly over rated! Low 3 star at best. Shabby,dated,and worn! Self check-in is absurd. Bill was paid by travel agent yet they billed me personally after check out. Heat control on the wall didn't work .Absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amberton Hotels, Marketing at Amberton Cozy Hotel Kaunas, responded to this review Dear Robert, thank you for your feedback.
