    Faded glory of days long gone

    The pictures looked promising. The reality was all the more disappointing. The whole place is in disrepair. Loose fittings in rooms, faded and pockmarked wall paint, slightly mildewy showers, threadbare carpets. The breakfast was, sad to say, very narrow in options and absolutely unpalatable, whether the local (dry clumpy rice, some sort of vegetable and non-descript meat bits drowned in an incredibly salty soy or fish sauce of sorts) or the western options (I t’s terrible when you can tell that the toast and the jam are the cheapest of the cheapest they could possibly find)... The pool water was - I am not exaggerating here - murky. I seldom give one star but this one really was all they deserved - for the central location and for a clean bed.

    This was my second stay but this time with my family. The room still has no bottled water and the tv channels are much to be desired. The pool is rather small but I guess its okay for kids but the chlorox level is a bit high as my son swimming pants color changed due to bleaching effect. The breakfast is average with typical Malaysian fares. Aircond is good as it gets cold as can be. The staffs are friendly and helpful. Well if you are looking for a place just for the night and dont need the extra perks then this place is just okay.

    I booked this hotel as it was near the event that I am atending. Judging by the appearance it has seen its better day. The place actually needs refurbisment and upgrade. The room does not have free bottle water or complimentary coffee or tea sachets although it does have kettle. The bathroom is provided with free toiletries but the towels are a bit small and thin. Fortunately the staffs are quite friendly and helpful so this is a plus point to a rather average resort.

    It was not mentioned in booking.com that the room has no hot water n wifi. As we checked in the hotel we expected all this and RM160 per day was not worth the money we payed. The bed sheet and towels were not clean, the water from the shower were little and we practically used the toilet bidet to shower. The whole room were old and alot of rotten woods. Pls do mention this at all booking sites in he future.

    We choose to stay here coz our kids had taekwondo tournament in Coral Bay Resort, Pangkor which just opposite kejora Garden Resort. Room was OK, reasonable price during weekend - no breakfast. All rooms with either 1 deluxe & 2 single or 3 single beds. The staff really helpfull, thanks to Ms. Ila & En Fairuz. Swimming Pool was Ok too, kids really enjoyed it.
