More of a construction sight than a hotelito.

It looked really nice at the photos on hotels.com but reality was different. There was mess every where, the restaurant was closed and it lokked more like a construction sight. The internet was very poor and constantly on/off went down (very unstable). To take a hot shower you needed to turn on the water heater 5-10 min before. The fridge was more like a freeze -everything froze. Not somewhere I will book again and the Price was way to expensive compared to the service in general.

No privacy and no respect for personal belongings

The accomodation is very well located close to the beach. Unfortunately, at the moment you check in you will be asked for paying extras that where supposed to be included. Also one day we caught staff going through our belongings in our very room. When asked what she is doing, we where told that this would be a regular security check which is applied to all customers.At night it gets really noisy.What a shame, could be such a beautiful place but like stated staff is not to be trusted.Would not recommend staying

the hotel is under construction which is super loud. the water has been shut off numerous times. the only available fridge setting is frozen. we are travelling with an infant and we’re told that they would provide a crib but what we were given was very broken down and unsafe. the staff does not speak any english and they have not been very accommodating. was not as advertised. would not recommend.

We booked this hotel sort of as a last resort as other hotels were booked up. The hotel, in my opinion, is quite expensive for what you get, however, it is clean and tidy and the staff are very helpful and kind. The rooms are like little suites and there is air con in the bedroom. There is a lovely pool for swimming in and you are a very short walk to the beach. This was a highlight for the hotel, although not on the beach, the hotel is so close it doesn't matter. You can enjoy the local restaurants and watch the sunset on the pier. No restaurant and therefore no breakfast included in the price per night, you also do not get towels. We were told that there was a safe in the room but we didn't have one. I'd recommend for groups who are happy to self cater, or families, again, happy to self cater. I can imagine that kids would love the pool!Overall a pleasant stay!

We have visited the Riviera Maya several times, yet however this was our first trip to Holbox. Wow, what a diamond in the rough. This hotel was an excellent choice for our visit. Raul and his employees go out of their way to make sure everything is top notch. From trips to a very quiet and arguably the most beautiful beach we have ever visited. To the famous Lobster pizza. The beds are so comfortable, so be sure to set an alarm or you may miss the day just lying there. Hammocks on the front entry and the sea breeze provide a wonderful place to nap mid day. The hotel is just steps away from the white sand beaches, with several small places to shop on the square. All in all the hotel was extremely clean and well kept. The locals are very nice and helpful. La Constanza de Rulo is a definite stop in mexico.
