    Missed the mark

    rating13 May 2025

The hotel was okay, but I don’t think it was worth the price. I booked it partly because it looked like it had a restaurant, but found out after booking that it was no longer open. The room was missing some basics like dresser drawers and a full-length mirror, and the rain-style shower had barely any water pressure. The sheets and towels were clean enough, but a few had stains and definitely felt worn out. I did like having a little balconette, but overall there just wasn’t much to do here besides sleep. The neighborhood felt safe and was in a decent location, but it didn’t have much going on. Fine for a quick stay, but I’d probably look elsewhere next time.

    Good people, a little careless

    rating02 May 2025

We kept having to ask for water. At first, they offered us water without a cap that they said was "filtered." We turned it down and asked for water with a cap. Still, every day we had to remind them to put potable water in our room. But by the end of our stay, we were so frazzled by constantly having to remind them to give us water that we did not pay attention when we returned to our room and found three full bottles of water WITHOUT caps. Probably directly from the tap. We were so thirsty we drank some of it. BIG mistake. We both came down with terrible diarrhea almost instantly. So BE CAREFUL with these people. Not everyone on the staff is careful about making sure guests get water and then get water that is safe to drink.

Beautiful hotel located on safe, tree-lined street - perfect for business or romance

    rating29 Oct 2024

This was a great find in Mexico City for our 3-day trip. Located in a safe, beautiful neightborhood, Hotel Casa Prim Boutique is a perfect choice for your Mexico City vacation. The hotel has a gorgeous lobby, and we were greeted warmly on arrival. Check-in was easy, and we stayed in Suite III which is small by American standards, but was perfect for a short stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the shower was big with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and lotion provided. They even had a toothbrush and toothpaste. :)The hotel restaurant has a fabulous breakfast menu and fantastic service, so take advantage of that. They had one vegan option which was oatmeal with fruit and almond milk. Front desk staff helped us with airport transportation. The hotel is immaculately clean, charming, and located quick Uber drives to/from many tourist spots. We were able to walk back from the Palace of Fine Arts, which turned out to be a great way to see the city, people watch, and get our steps in. Convenience stores, restaurants, and a Starbucks are all within short walking distance. Love this hotel and will recommend it to everyone.

    Lovely little hotel.

A lovely little hotel in a good location and with very friendly and helpful staff. The roof top restaurant is great too and serves a good breakfast. Some of the rooms don't have windows so make sure you check you've got one if that matters to you.

Lovely hotel at a great price, but……..

    rating18 Feb 2024

The rooms are well equipped with large comfy beds. Given the location this is real value for money . Most rooms lack any outside windows so feels more like a motel as any windows you do have look onto internal walkways. Food is the star of the show starting with an incredible breakfast on the roof terrace. In the interest of fairness I wanted to give an honest review of the hotel facilities. Now the but….Before I start, I’ve worked over 30 years in travel and spent most of that time hopping from one county to the next so qualify as a seasoned traveller. So I don’t say this lightly but a fair amount of cash went missing from the safe in our room. Mid way through our stay I was checking how we were doing and something didn’t seem right. I’d calculated what we’d spent and what I expected to have left and there was a very large discrepancy. Under normal circumstances and mindful of the consequences of making an accusation I would have written it off as not provable. Except I had withdrawn £200 from an ATM just before boarding the flight to Mexico and the money had been with me the whole journey. That amount now added up to £160 and could not have been used between flight and arrival at the hotel. I spoke to the manager who said they would look at the cctv and come back to me. He never did, I asked the next day and he wasn’t around. I find it astonishing that given the seriousness of the allegation that the manager did not even have the courtesy to come back to us. My only regret is that we didn’t report it to the police. So if you do intend to stay here be very careful with your cash.
