    Excellent hotel in Condesa!

    rating08 Jun 2026

I'm staying every year a week at this hotel since more than 5 years now. I saw its general level improving every time ever since I come! Staff is amaizingly helpfull and confort of the bedrooms is excellent. I strongly recomand for leasure or business trip to enjoy the hotel but also the neighborhood's way of life. This part of Condesa offers the best restaurants and bars, not to mention the parc of Mexico that is 30 meters away.

Wonderful stay in a boutique hotel Condessa

    rating21 Feb 2026

We had a wonderful stay in the newly renovated Hippodrome Hotel in Condessa. The location is absolutely perfect. The area has tons of coffee shops, cafés, and wonderful restaurants. Perfectly safe to walk during the day or evening. Hotel staff are all wonderful and helpful. Special mention to Gisele who saved the day for us when our tour was cancelled on very short notice. Gisele stepped up really as a concierge and made arrangements for us at 10 PM for a tour for the following morning. We had a great day and are very grateful. I highly recommend the Hippodrome if you’re looking for a boutique hotel with personalized service.

Nice boutique hotel in a great location with some wonderful people

    rating18 Feb 2026

I stayed at the Hippodrome hotel on a solo trip for a long weekend (Fri-Tues) to celebrate my 40th birthday and to become more acquainted with Mexico City. I prefer smaller boutique hotels that are not overwhelming and feel cozy yet private. This was the perfect place to be, off of a smaller street but walkable to several beautiful parks, restaurants, and anything you may need. The location was perfect. The room had a sitting area and a window facing out to the street, a good amount of space. Friday and Saturday night did have more noise than expected from the restaurants downstairs but nothing that couldn’t be shut out with earplugs (that they provide on the bedside) or noise cancelling headphones and usually calmed down before midnight. It was very clean and well stocked with water, coffee pods, and amenities. Housekeeping was super helpful in restocking waters and coffee pods, just ask! My biggest issue was the pillows being too thick and puffy (hurts my neck sleeping), I asked for flatter ones but got more of the same and just slept without. The other thing was the towels shed a lot of fibers that got stuck to the body and face. I had a lint roller so it was a minor inconvenience. They were nice and clean though. Lastly, I was welcomed at the front desk by Gisell and a gentleman with gray hair (never caught his name) who were both so friendly and helpful that it felt like I was at home. On my last evening, I was talking to Gisell about the main visit of my trip which was to see some of the art works of Remedios Varo and Leonora Carrington in person at the Museo de Arte Moderno. When I left that next morning, she had left a note under the door thanking me for my stay on a print of a Remedios Varo painting. It made my day! The staff really care about their hospitality and providing great service to the guests, as well as improving where they can. Thank you for making my first real stay in Mexico City so memorable.

    Sad and wonderful

    rating14 Feb 2026

The hotel is fabulous with a great location and wonderfully comfortable rooms. The room we stayed in had a balcony and was very roomy. Antoine Kourdi, the manager is quite wonderful and has procured tickets for the Barragàn House, a major feat since they were sold out months in advance. He also arranged a dinner for my partner’s birthday at Lardo, which was amazing! He goes above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. I learned he will no longer be with the Hippodrome which saddens me. I told him wherever he lands that will be my new hotel in Mexico City. The hotel is loosing a fantastic manager.
