This charming hotel is located at the heart of the Zona Rosa in Mexico City's leisure centre. It is just a few minutes walk to the city centre and many shopping areas with all types of shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants are to be found in the near vicinity.

Facility

The hotel was built in 1896. The hotel has 26 junior suites, 48 single rooms and 155 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a mini fridge and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge). A turndown service provides guests with additional comfort in the evening hours. A hairdryer and a telephone are available in the bathrooms, which are equipped with a shower and a bathtub.     A quaint hotel with a rather nice ambience, history and culture within it. While the rooms may seem dated, it added to the overall charm of the hotel for me.     Not the grand hotel you might expect

    It’s not a 5 star hotel in anything but name. The lobby and entrance are lovely but rooms are dated- curtains stained and pelmets loose, towels and sheets ancient and snagged. Breakfast is adequate but nothing special. We stayed three nights. On arriving back after a trip on day two we were stopped by two staff by the lifts who literally stood in our way until the woman noticed my key card in my hand and then claimed she had just wanted to help us (?!).
