    Nice staff, Safe, Basic

Safe, No Frills, Walkable Area. We booked this place for one night as we were arriving late from airport. Roman (overnight clerk) and Ana (morning clerk) were both friendly and professional. We were grateful 1 water bottle was in our room, as we checked in past midnight from plane. Shower was good. Definitely do not expect a luxury experience. Basic. Good location, near Chapultepec Parque. Kind staff. You can walk by the fancy hotels within 3-5 minutes, but do not expect a regal experience. Safe. Friendly.

You get what you pay for...

And at this hotel it’s not much. I asked for one small bottle of water and an extra pillow and got a no. In fact no extra anything here. I got a “junior suite” which came with a kitchen that I didn’t need. The refrigerator was at room temp so useless. The staff is depressingly less than unhelpful and rude. Nice location.

    Bare bones accomodations

    rating25 Jun 2019

for under $100 US it was OK. Pros: clean, recently renovated, great shower, decent location near many restaurants. Cons: NO thermostat means NO heating or cooling system (it was reasonably comfortable with the window open but I wouldn't want to stay here in more extreme temperature conditions,TV & WiFi only worked marginally. . . .con't count on them if you plan to use them significantly.Service was OK. . .manage your expectations & it's OK.

Nice Safe Central Hotel. Perfect for my Purpose!

    rating12 May 2019

I stayed at the Suites Elba for 15 nights which on a spanish language study sabbatical. I stayed in an executive suite, which I highly recommend. The suite included a living room, kitchenette (with 2 burner stove, microwave, mini fridge etc.), dining room, a study niche, large bedroom with closets and a well appointed bathroom. There is a small balcony as well. The hotel room was clean and the furniture and bedding was very comfortable. The location was ideal. Safe, central location by Chapultapec Park off of Paseo de la Reforma. The only negative thing I can say is that their wifi was very spotty. I suggest that any visitor that needs to have guaranteed access to wifi to order this through American Express (which will rent a hotspot to you in the US which you can bring to Mexico). otherwise there are plenty of coffee shops & restaurants nearby that have wifi.

    Perfect stay

    rating17 Aug 2018

We stayed in Reforma area which is a fine area to stay, close to La Condesa. Our hotel was called “Suites Rio Elba”, which was like an apartment.Suites Rio Elba might not look much from outside, and it is very inconspicuous from outside. You will find it next to a Krispy Kreme store and opposite a Kwik E Mart. The area feels really safe, you can buy street food, there’s a few restaurants around and also a Starbucks and 7 eleven. We arrived quite late and the receptionist was there to help us. He has very good English. They have a doorman working all hours to let you in, so it’s security conscious. They can sort shuttles out (it’s a little expensive, so we recommend Uber). We were very grateful to receive the most awesome upgrade. We only booked a Junior Suite but got upgraded to a huge apartment with a kitchen, three rooms with double beds, two ensuite bathrooms and one more bathroom. There’s also a lounge room and dining table. All rooms have television, including the kitchen. The TVs only have one English Channel (American news). There is one safe provided. The kitchen is complete with a fridge, stove, microwave and toaster. The interiors look practically brand new and the mirrored dining table and velvet lounges are beautiful. In the morning there’s coffee and biscuits on offer. We really enjoyed our stay here and the location is good. For some constructive help, we recommend a ledge or shelf in the shower as there’s nowhere to put your products. Also the maid needs to re supply the bathroom products daily. Bottled water is provided on day 1, but they should also re supply that. The kitchen could do with a kettle and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
