    Wonderful Stay

    rating17 Mar 2026

Our 4 days stay was wonderful, but the highlight was the incredible service from Sofia at the Bar. Attentive, friendly, and always a step ahead. Sofia made our nights serving fantastic cocktails effortless and relaxing. Truly a standout team member who elevates the whole experience. Highly recommend!Coming back on June. Really nice hotel

    rating19 Dec 2025

We were very happy with this hotel. For the price it was absolutely great. Staff were friendly, rooms clean with good air conditioning. It's unfair to expect 5 star conditions on a tiny island. If you manage your expectations you should have a good time. We ate out a few times and spend a lot of time exploring rhodes. Car is advised as theologos itself is pretty dull and the bus service was packed and not regular. We found the food basic but very nice . Changed often and again the staff work so hard. We got tipsy a few nights in the bar with cocktails and shots included , no entertainment which would have been nice . More like a summer nightmare hotel!!!

    rating02 Oct 2025

More like a summer nightmare!!Before booking the holiday, I phoned to say that myself and another party member had walking difficulties and couldn't manage stairs. We were assured by loveholidays that this place would be suitable! On arrival we were escorted to a room down ramps that had no hand rails and slippery tiles. Then into a room that had a double bed (we already explained that we were not a couple and needed single beds) and a small bunk bed that looked like it was knocked together with wooden pallets for a 13 year old! It was only accessible via a set of steps, again with no hand rails. We were greeted by ants everywhere! After repeated being told they didn't have another room, and us refusing to the room, they gave us another room with 2 single beds and the 3rd bed was a fishing bed! Again the room was covered in ants! The hotel staff were spraying the walkways and around the pool with a hosepipe because of the ants! They again had ramps around the pools with the same slippery tiles (obviously wet from the pool) and no hand rails again! They advertise a "poolside snack bar" This consists of a tray of sandwiches or cake that gets placed on the drinks bar and left out in the sun all afternoon! There isnt a snack bar! It is also advertised that they provide water! They don't! Only the inside bar offered us water at night, at extra cost! (Its advertised as included with all inclusive). Many of the drinks are Not included in all inclusive at all (even the local spirits). We couldn't even have Bailey's or Malibu ( Not even the local brand) and orange juice was charged at €3:50!It also wasn't said that the All Inclusive ended 11pm! The only food included was at meal times in the dining room. No food bars or stands etc... They advertise entertainment and even show pictures on advertising of a entertainment room, Yet that room doesn't exist along with any entertainment! Getting to the dining room is up 2 flights of stairs and when I asked for the toilet, they said I had to go back down plus down another flights; And yes You guessed it, With no hand rails! This resulted in me falling on marble stairs and having an injury to my knee. Then we get to the breakfast 🙈 Buffet style breakfast... On offer... Onion rings, Spring rolls, Chips drenched in cheese! Mushrooms drenched in garlic! Yes for BREAKFAST!!!They did have an alternative of cornflakes, that looked like they had been to kwik save and bought all the remaining stock of no frills when they closed! When I initially asked about the holiday, I was told that the beach was nearby and that if I walked out of the hotel and just turned left, there was shopping and bars and entertainment etc... You had to walk around 10-15 minutes if you were a good walker and you got 3 local bars, all with no entertainment (they were for the locals, not holiday makers) A mini supermarket and a chemist! You are in the middle of no man's land! Even the locals told us that Tui know they are all the same group of hotels out there and are aware that they are all of low standards! none of them will stay at any of them or recommend them. The rails that they do have....To get into the swimming pool are broken on the last steps, so when you go to step on the bottom one, you fall in the pool and getting out of the pool is a major problem if you have any health issues or are simply older/weaker. I would Highly recommend you look elsewhere!! Don't be fooled by the pictures on here! They should show the view across from reception of the abandoned cars and buildings!! They said this hotel was rated 3star, I wouldn't give it 1star!! #loveholidays and #Tui should be ashamed of themselves! But they simply don't care once they've had your money! We've now been home over a week and still no response from my emails... Definitely 3 star, staff are the gems

    rating01 Oct 2025

The staff make this hotel, especially Sophia, bar staff , Michael, a manager, Dimitrius, pool bar and the other main bar man whose name I apologise, cannot remember. They are a credit to the hotel and deservent of a raise. They are friendly and welcoming. They remember your drink preferences and the bar man suggested an off menu yet simple cocktail I would never usually go for, it was delicious and my go to drink of the holiday. Michael enquired after us and assisted us with WiFi issues. Although WiFi was intermittent at busy times we had enough for children to wind down at night time. Our room had bunk beds and a double bed. Very comfy beds and pillows. Fridge in room and Seaview from our balcony. People complaining about shower heads in other reviews. Just adjust and they work fine. The water pressure/heat was poor at busy times. Cold water isn't freezing in the shower and quite refreshing in the heat. Aircon is brilliant. Cleaners OK just. Suggest they they could tidy up the bar area in the morning. Guests leave glasses etc on the bar after the bar staff have left for the night and sit there until they return the next afternoon. Even if they or reception staff put empty glasses in the sink out of sight until main bar staff start their shift. Staff in restaurant work tirelessly. They are very pleasant although sometimes clean plates not ready or cutlery shortages etc. Seem to be working from a relatively small kitchen so not their fault. Food is hit and miss. Breakfast is best part. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, European style bacon and sausages, fruit, yoghurt, delicious breads, croissants etc. Usually pasta we could eat, salads were delicious, mains were weird. Brussel sprouts on international night, fish was OK, chicken skewers OK. Expected more Greek offerings. We ended up eating out last few nights. Close to beach, bus stop for Rhodes Town, supermarkets and restaurants. Billys was our favourite. Show football, good food and drinks. The pool area always had sufficient sun beds and my children made lots of friends there. Pool basic but sufficient. Poor bar had sandwiches, cakes, slushies, self service. Teas, coffees and beer, spirits, cocktails, soft drinks etc served by Dimitrius. So hard working! All local drinks and pleasantly surprised by quality . Tea and coffee machine in main building all day. No kettle in rooms but coffees from machine every morning instead. Issue with toilets downstairs on 2 nights and they couldn't be used. Think a recurring problem. Infrastructure issues I believe. Please remember to tip the staff. I watched all week as the tip jars were ignored by other guests and the staff so thankful when they were tipped and very deservent of them. The owners should consider a slide going into deep end of pool. Lime trees around the pool area and a garden growing all sorts of fruits and veg. Again, the man who waters the grass and tends the beautiful flowers and gardens never stops and is very pleasant if you stop to chat with him. Overall for the price we paid and expectations we had we were happy. The staff are the gems. Sofia and the other barman stayed late to serve us and other New arrivals welcome drinks and helped us to our room and with our luggage. Also, we were allowed to keep our all inclusive privileges until we left for the airport. It's windy there too but refreshing and needed in the mid thirties of summer.

    Terrible avoid

    rating30 Sept 2025

Normally I don’t go of reviews and make my own mind up but you definitely need to listen to the bad reviews on here, not a fussy eater but lived mainly on boiled eggs and toast for breakfast and chip butties for tea if they were not cold, alcoholic drinks are watered down felt the difference when just having a couple of proper bottled beer in the local restaurant, rooms are dirty and stained sheets, honestly save your money Vasilis Nikitaras, General Manager at Summer Dream Hotel, responded to this review Dear Valued Guest,We would like to Thank you for choosing Summer Dream Hotel for your Holidays.
