Amazing tripThe rooms were clean cosy and the beds were comfortable. The showers were really nice and warm aswell. The food is delicious and we really enjoyed it (especially the breakfast). The staff are lovely they are so kind, caring and welcoming . The riad is close to essuaria and is a calm place to stay. The place is relaxing but also has a buzz to it with lovely grounds and a heated pool!!

    Lovely gem

    rating08 Apr 2026

Really wonderful vibe in this unique gem near Essaouira. We stayed in the rooftop suite which consists of a double bedroom with an onsite and a separate second bedroom with two single beds. The communal area is the rooftop, which is separate from the rest of the hotel. There’s no separate toilet in the second room and the kids had to come out onto the roof and get into our room in the night to use it. There’s also no window in the second bedroom and it can get very stuffy at night. On the plus side, the breakfast was lovely and the staff were superb. Very attentive and sweet. We had dinner there two nights in a row and the food was good but probably on the expensive side. The pool looked lovely but it was unfortunately too cold when we visited. It’s very close to some lovely beaches and the colourful medina in Essaouira. Eucalyptus le riad, Propriétaire at Riad Eucalyptus - Ethnic hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,Thank you for your thoughtful review — “Lovely gem” is exactly the kind of feeling we hope to create here, so it truly means a lot. We’re very happy to read that you enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel, the rooftop suite experience, and especially the kindness and attentiveness of our team. Your comments about breakfast and your dinners with us are also much appreciated. We put a lot of care into our cuisine, with a focus on fresh, homemade dishes inspired by both Moroccan and international flavors, so it’s wonderful to know it contributed positively to your stay.We also sincerely thank you for your constructive feedback regarding the layout and comfort of the rooftop suite. You are absolutely right to highlight these points, and we are currently taking them into account to further improve the comfort and functionality of this space, particularly for families.Regarding the pool, we’re truly sorry you didn’t have the opportunity to enjoy it — it is actually heated to 28°C all year round, which usually makes it very pleasant even on cooler days. Hopefully, this gives you a good reason to come back and experience it next time.We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again soon, for an even smoother and more relaxing stay.Warm regards,Nathalie & PatrickRiad Eucalyptus, ethnic hotel

    Gorgeous and comfortable

    rating23 Mar 2026

Was a gorgeous place with lovely staff. Especially the French woman who spoke great English. Room was very comfortable. Enjoyed the pool. Bit far from Essaouira unless you have a car or are happy to spend 70 Moroccan Dirhams each way in a taxi. (£6 each way - so not too bad). Recommended Guide43041776173, at Riad Eucalyptus - Ethnic hotel, responded to this review Hello,Thank you so much for your kind review — “gorgeous and comfortable” sounds like exactly the feeling we hope to create 😊We’re really glad you enjoyed the room, the pool, and the overall atmosphere of the house. And we had a smile reading about “the French woman” — we’ll take that one personally! You’re absolutely right about the location. Being just outside Essaouira means a short taxi ride, but it’s also what allows us to offer that sense of calm, space, and relaxation that can be harder to find in the city itself. As you mentioned, taxis are easy and quite affordable, which makes the balance work well for many of our guests. We’re delighted you would recommend the place — and we’d love to welcome you back anytime.Warm regards,Nathalie & Patrick

    Peaceful, beautiful and easeful.

We absolutely loved the Riad Eucalyptus. We stayed during a quiet time of the year at the end of Ramadan (March) and enjoyed a newly renovated room by the pool. The chef was incredibly accommodating to my two smalls who requested all sorts for breakfast and dinner. The staff and owner were so friendly and helpful and nothing felt like too much to ask. The pool was gorgeous, surrounded by beautiful trees and birds who frequented them and sang us awake and to sleep. The property had all sorts of nooks and crannies to explore and enjoy and being just a little way out of town felt restful after the excitement of the markets. We are already planning to return this year (2026) for a visit with the whole family this time. Guide43041776173, at Riad Eucalyptus - Ethnic hotel, responded to this review Hello,“Peaceful, beautiful and easeful”… we couldn’t have described it better ourselves 😊We’re so happy you experienced the house in that quiet moment at the end of Ramadan — it’s a very special time, with a softer rhythm and a different kind of atmosphere. And how lovely that your children felt at home enough to make their own requests… our chef will be delighted to know he passed the test!Your description of the garden, the birds, the little corners to explore… that’s exactly the spirit of the place. Not just somewhere to stay, but somewhere to live, even for a few days.Being just outside Essaouira is part of that experience — enjoying the energy of the Medina, then coming back to calm, nature and space. We’re truly touched to hear you’re already planning to return — and this time with the whole family sounds like an even better chapter ahead.Warm regards,Nathalie & Patrick

    An Absolute Must

    rating18 Mar 2020

We spent a week in this Riad and it was certainly not long enough. Anne & Jean-François are the most amazing hosts, laid back kind and fun. The most relaxing holiday I have ever had, a perfect setting with perfect facilities and lovely dog too. Delicious food served every day, morning, noon and night. Thank you to you both and Abdul too. I would like to think we will be back in September.Tamsin and Roddy
