    Nice place to overnight

    rating01 May 2026

This riad is located in the heart of Rabat’s medina. The atmosphere is quite simple, ideal for those who just need a quick place to stay in this big city, just a stone’s throw from the center. The room, which was very quiet even though it faced the inner courtyard, was a bit small for three people in our opinion, but since we were only there to sleep, it didn’t really matter. The cleanliness was good, and the bathroom was spacious. Mohamed, the young man who welcomed us upon arrival, was always very kind and helpful with all our requests. He even helped us find an affordable taxi for our early morning departure. The breakfast is worth mentioning! For such a small place, it was really well-prepared and had everything we needed. Excellent and delicious. Mohamed also gave us a packed lunch for our early departure from the riad on the day we left. We thought that was a really nice gesture. We recommend this riad without a doubt.

Great location but only average hospitality

This Riad has a great location. It was clean and comfortable and we were very happy with our room. Good quality for the price. The one downside: there were rarely any staff in attendance, so we didn't feel like it was great for getting advice about what to see and where to go. Having said this, Rabat is pretty easy and we didn't feel like we needed a lot of advice. Cecile was very helpful every time we emailed her.

    Riad Souika in March 2018

    rating20 Jun 2018

We have stayed right in the Medina of the city, super close to the Rue Souika that is filled with merchants with all kinds of tea pots, spices and more handmade traditional Moroccan goodies. I must say that the prices here are much lower than in Marrakech and you can get the most amazing straw bags and tea pots at super good prices. Our Riad Souika had the best view to the Mosque near by and to the amazing sunset from its terrace. The room we have stayed in was super spacious and with great warm light from the stained glass windows and in there we've had one of the most delish mint teas ever with orange tree flowers in it. It gives it such a perfumed scent, similar to the jasmine flowers which is simply amazing. The breakfast was also super good with Moroccan pancakes, my absolute favourite and the indoor patio was a dream. The pictures with the white dress are shot inside the Riad Souika and the ones with the dark red one on the streets near by.

    reasonable comfortable

The riad is quite OK. Need ear plugs. Ground floor room is very dark and shower construction was broke. Asked for room change. First level rooms are better. The 'breakfast' lady is very helpfull and nice. Nice roof terras.

    Great riad in the medina!!

    rating05 Jan 2016

Clean, well decorated small riad, lovely service, good simple breakfast of local breads and pastries. Easy to find and safe to walk back to night. Quiet at night also. Had big room with big bathroom and heating that worked well, plus hot water shower. A great place to stay for a couple of nights, note there is no food or drinks served/available to buy in riad, but you are in medina where you can easily buy anything!! Recommended!!
