    Location of the hotel is right in the city centre with everything you need nearby. We were welcomed very friendly at the reception, the check-in went smooth and the room was very cozy and clean. The hotel also has bikes wherewith you can explore the city and offers a discount for the Spido tour. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and diner. In the evening the restaurant looks very aesthetic with candles and dimmed lights. All the staff were very kind, they went out of their way to make it comfortable for us. Our stay in one word: amazing! If you look for a hotel in Rotterdam, this is the place to be!

    WHEN IN THE NETHERLANDS WHY NOT STAY ON A BOAT!

    Given the choice, I’m glad I did. Also, love the punny name! I had a really good four night stay here. My room, on the lower level, was quiet and comfortable. My porthole was aimed at the canal wall but, when the tide was high, I had a view of the street. Being a cabin, while spacious, there were a few things to navigate, like the two posts near the window, one of which I ended up head-butting as bent down to pick up something! Ah, the life of a sailor ;) The room had a work table, TV, free WiFi, kettle with tea & coffee, air-conditioning, block out curtains and wardrobe. It lacked a luggage rack and fridge. The washroom had a surprisingly large shower with a great water pressure, a wall-attached hairdryer, quality toiletries and lush towels.The location was excellent with all parts of the city within easy walking distance. It’s only three blocks from the Markthal and the food and groceries therein.Breakfast is available onsite, however, I chose to eat out. I was taking a night ferry to the UK and they happily stored my bags for the day. This was fun way to visit Rotterdam for the first time and I would stay again.

    Great experience on the water in a harbor. Central but quiet. Walkable area very close to a parking garage, restaurants and convenience store. Restaurant on location with great atmosphere and views onto the harbor.

    The hotel was easy to find from Blaak station, it was clean and comfortable apart from the square pillows. The restaurant had limited options for lunch or dinner in my opinion and breakfast rate was quite expensive for continental. If your tall, make sure you're careful in the upper rooms as there's a steel beam going across the room, and my husband hit his head a couple of times

    The first and the last time

    Booked at double room but was given twin beds and told I’d need to upgrade to get what I paid for originally.Used the off site parking - got locked in the carpark with no way out as had not been given a key to exit. Fortunately a caretaker was coincidentally leaving and used the same stair lobby we were trapped in.Beds have sofa bed toppers which are thin and slide off.Exiting the carpark - exit key would not work. Eventually some residents helped to get someone to override the sensor- seems the key from the hotel was faulty. It was a last minute booking and the last time to book this place
