Location

This hotel is located right next to a river (Maas) and close to the centre of Rotterdam, with plenty of entertainment and shopping opportunities. There are restaurants, bars, shopping venues and public transport close to the hotel, around 1 km away.

Facility

17 single rooms and 75 double rooms are located on 6 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. Services such as a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The hotel offers a number of facilities for guests with disabilities. There are a number of shops as well. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, medical assistance, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Active guests can make use of the bicycle hire service to explore the surrounding area. Daily newspapers are available for purchase. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed or a queen-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are provided in the bathrooms, which include a shower and a bathtub. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels.     I booked this hotel through Secret Escapes and was expecting a fairly basic experience but how wrong I was! We had a room on the 4th floor with an amazing view of the Erasmus bridge and the Maas River - I can’t imagine a better view in Rotterdam. The room had a separate seating area with chairs and a table so you could sit with a drink and take in the view. Apart from that the room had all you could want and a bathroom with an actual bath. It was all spotlessly clean and well maintained, too.The breakfast buffet was varied and well stocked and even included Cava as an option which was quite a treat!The location was perfect with both a water taxi and water bus stop just outside and tram and metro stops within a few minutes walk so getting around was super easy. Special mention to the efficient and friendly staff as well.     Room clean but very small if you order a single room. Very little space at the toilet getting to the closet.     Good stay at the Thon

    Nice hotel, excellent views of the river and bridge especially at night. Room clean, balcony is just fine to get some air and have a coffee. Large TV which has access to youtube, netflix, prime ect if you want to log in to your accounts. Also accepts USB drives to watch films. TV is not locked down, a real plus point for the hotel. Didnt have breakfast so cannot comment. Staff were excellent. No noise from other rooms. Fridge and coffee machine in roomEverything within walking distance. Supermarket 5 minutes walk which has everything you need. Closest restaurants tend to be more pricey need to head towards the station for larger selection.     I had a truly wonderful stay at the hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff at the reception were incredibly friendly and professional. Check-in was smooth and efficient, and throughout my stay I could always rely on the front desk for assistance, recommendations, or anything I needed.
