Location

A landmark site (formerly known as the MLC Building) has been totally refurbished to create a superb Art Deco hotel conveniently located in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant cultural, shopping and business district. The property enjoys a central location, with many of the city’s local attractions within a comfortable walking distance, and public transport readily accessible. Directly across the road guests will find the city’s entertainment precinct, home to the Auckland Town Hall, Aotea Square and Civic Theatre Auckland. It is also clos to: is close to: the SKYCITY Casino, Queen Street shopping, business district and waterfront.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 100 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services include a baggage storage service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided to guests. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Complimentary newspapers are available. The business centre is on hand for guests' business requirements and provides a fax machine.

Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. All rooms are carpeted and have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A kitchenette with a microwave and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are stocked with bathrobes and a telephone for everyday use. As a special feature, bathrooms are also stocked with cosmetic products and a selection of towels. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked.

Sport

After an eventful day, guests can work out and recharge in the gym.

Meals

The hotel features dining services including a café and a bar. Lunch and dinner provide plenty of variety. Special meals, including vegetarian dishes, are also available. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    The hotel is clean, modern and comfortable. The rooms are very well appointed, with microwave as well as mini fridge and electric kettle. Very nice bathroom amenities and reading chairs, plenty of accessible electrical outlets. and complimentary wifi. The only thing my room lacked was a work desk; not an issue for me as I wasn't there on business, but if this is a concern it is possible the hotel has other rooms that are so equipped. The central location on Queen street was quite convenient, with an intriguing food court in the next block. Wish I could have stayed longer!     Stayed one night, can't wait to visit again. Beautiful room, well cleaned and comfortable. Quiet and contained everything we needed. We upgraded to breakfast and it was an amazing meal. Best hotel stay I've had and will definitely return. Staff were all fantastic, smiles and very hospitable. Didn't want to leave! Convenient to everything, with busses right outside and ubers less than a minute away. 10/5 star stay.     Absolutely love this hotel. Stayed here previously as the location was very convenient to the Auckland Town Hall so was happy to stay again.
