Location

Nestled in 10 acres of lush landscaped gardens, the club resort overlooks Lake Rotorua, Mokoia Island and the world-famous trout fishing Ohau Channel. This property is 20 minutes' drive from the city of Rotorua and 3 hours from Auckland Airport.

Facility

English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service and a safe ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a library. Parking spaces are available to guests travelling by car (no extra charge). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service and a coin-operated laundry. A fax machine is on hand for guests' business and communication needs.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure comfortable indoor temperatures.     FALSE ADVERTISING/DISAPPOINTED

    Only stay here as a last resort! Rooms were full in appearance, moderately clean, lacked appliances and above all - this is a mix used property and by that I mean people live on premises and use facilities. Noise level was low as children were back to school, food options dismal, and you must do a bit of a drive for sights and more food options. Overall, Disappointed and falsely advertised. Only upside being there is no sulphate smell in this area.

    A hotel that looks clean and modern but looks were deceiving. Upon closer inspection traces of black mould were visible (in bathroom & back of curtains). Hot water service was small which meant hot water didn’t last long when accommodating a unit designed for 4 people. The resort had a cafe on sight but was only opened for breakfast on Sundays only which was disappointing given we arrived on Monday for a 2 night stay.

    Misleading advertising about a cafe

    Great Resort- shame about them advertising on their website that there is an on site cafe "If you fancy a snack, the onsite cafe has a variety of delicious meals to choose from." What a shame the cafe on site was virtually never open, and sometimes when advertised as open was not! Made a booking yesterday for lunch today 12 and no one turned up to open the cafe! No phone call to apologise or reschedule. Tip: Don't rely on there being the advertised cafe on site!

    Beautiful spot. Nice, clean accommodation. The restaurant was perfect. Great food. Awesome environment. The fire place was exactly what we needed. A very pretty spot for pictures and very central for day trips. Tennis court was very new and equipment was free which was such a bonus. Staff were extremely accommodating. A very family feeling to the resort. Would recommend if you are visiting Rotorua.

    Nicely located property with canals and lakeside. Property was a bit dated, but overall quite nice. We were greeted at reception by a friendly team and shown to our property. Unfortunately the on-site cafe was closed with very limited opening hours. We arrived Sunday afternoon and departed Tuesday morning and the cafe was closed all the time. It is independently run, so Ramada weren't bothered. Due to the acrid air in Rotorua, the bedding and sofas had a very strong smell of Sulphur from the various hot springs in the area which was unpleasant. Went to the VR Lakeside for dinner which is a 5 minute drive, much nicer hotel. The cafe at Okere Falls is a winner for breakfasts.
