This stylish, award-winning hotel lies in the heart of Dunedin. Scenic Hotel Dunedin City is located just 2 blocks from the Octagon, close to: Speights Brewery, Cadbury World, Toitū Otago Settlers Museum, Taieri Gorge Railway Station, shopping and entertainment.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 111 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. There are a number of shops as well. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (for a fee). Other services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, 24-hour room service, a laundry service and a coin-operated laundry. Complimentary newspapers are available.

Rooms

Central heating ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A minibar and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator and a tea/coffee station. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a TV, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A hairdryer and a telephone are on hand in the bathrooms for everyday use. Some of the wheelchair-friendly rooms have a wheelchair-accessible bathroom. Family rooms are available for parents with children.

    Hotel was clean, rooms had good lighting and staff friendly. The restaurant meals were excellent. Loved the bar and fire area to relax. A quick walk to the shops and railway.     very disappointing stay

    The room was nice but extremely noisy with a nightclub across the road and vehicle noise made it a extremely disappointing stay. Lack of action by the hotel to deal with noise late at night.     1. Dunedin is a small town at the right corner of the earth. Its scenic all around and scenic hotel is located right in the center.2. Rooms are big and it has all basic infrastructure.3. It is located at the bus station so going across dunedine is easy. 4. You will get rooms easily without fuss.5.     Pleasant accomodation, nice restaurant experience and convenient to center of town.No parking available on site although a map to a paying parking station was provided. The thought that management thinks that’s it’s acceptable for patrons to transport suit cases close to kilometre with a physical disability is worrying.
