    Well, well, well Scandic….

    Our room was maybe the ugliest I have ever seen in a Scandic hotel. A double room with extra bunk beds hung on the wall, made of plywood. Other interior details is also made of plywood. We felt like we were in a worn out motel, not a hotel. Pillows and duvets were flat, and of «motel» standard. The main beds are supposed to be Jensen quality, which usually are good, and they should be adjustable with a remote control. But when the remote is not working, they are just regular beds… Room was not very clean, and already looks quite run down, even though this hotel is just about six years old! About 6 in the morning someone found out that it was a good time to start drilling in concrete! Nice way to wake up! Our room faced the train station, so every time a train is passing or stopping, the whole room is «shaking». The only reason this hotel gets some stars from us at all, is that the staff is very nice, and breakfast is good. But for the price (which was high!) this is really bad! Sorry, but we won’t come back…

    It is a little unsusual to stay in a 'chain' hotel on a ski holiday but all-round it was a good experience. The very best bit of this modern, large hotel is its location. It's right on the railway platform, the bus station is outside and a just a few steps from the ski locker room to the access gondola. Very little walking required. The next best bit was breakfast; I have never been disappointed in a Scandic and this was up to the usual immaculate standard - so much choice of quality options. We dined in the hotel restaurant on two evenings. Nice enough but a fairly limited menu. Our room was modern, clean and well-equipped although the fridge didn't work. Never mind, the draft from an ill-fitting window was enough, during a particularly cold spell, to keep our milk and soft drinks cold. All in all, we would definitely return if skiing in Voss in future.

    This is a fantastic little hotel. Location is excellent, right next to the train station and gondola an ld easy access to the town centre. Room is perfectly clean and modern, equipped with mini fridge, hairdryer etc. The hotel lounge area and s great, chess, checkers and a fab shuffleboard table. There’s a bar and restaurant too - breakfast in particular was excellent. There’s also some swings and a little play area outside too. There’s a small area to buy drinks and snacks by reception also and ski lockers available for hire so you don’t clutter up your rooms. The staff here are excellent - super helpful and kind. Highly recommend it.

    Excellent hotel for a ski break. It is a stones throw from the gondola and train station - perfect location. Good boot room for ski equipment.Reception staff friendly and helpful.Breakfast was excellent… sometimes tricky to find a seat, however if you are ok to wait, one will become free soon enough.I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. Beautiful views of the lake too. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. We loved our trip.

    Great hotel to stay. Friendly staff, good and clean rooms and an exceptional breakfast buffet. Coffee at reception is for Scandic Friends free. It is next to the cable car and thus has an excellent location for e.g. a skiing weekend. We parked at the open station parking just 3 minutes walk away, as it is cheaper than the parking garage right at the hotel. Would anytime come back to Scandic Voss.
