  Hotel Rojas Cusco Reservation Practices

  We booked Hotel Rojas Cusco about seven months in advance under a pay-on-arrival reservation at a very good rate. At no point during booking were we told there was a payment deadline or prepayment requirement.The day before our international trip, we suddenly received a notification saying that we had cancelled our own reservation. We never cancelled or authorized any cancellation.When we contacted the hotel, we were later told the reservation had been automatically cancelled by the online booking system because payment was not completed in time, and that the hotel had little control over cancellations generated by the platform.This explanation did not make much sense to us because:-the booking was confirmed as pay on arrival-no payment deadline was ever communicated-the first email specifically stated that we cancelled the booking ourselvesthe explanation later changed to “the system cancelled it automatically”What made the situation more frustrating is that hotel prices for our travel dates are now significantly higher than when we originally booked months ago.We cannot say for certain what happened, but the whole experience felt suspicious and created a lot of unnecessary stress before international travel.If you book here, especially far in advance at a lower rate, make sure to:-keep screenshots of all booking terms-get payment terms confirmed in writing-monitor your reservation closely-unfortunately this will not protect against dishonesty Hopefully this helps other travellers avoid the same situation.

  I stayed here for 4 nights. The room i got for first night wasnt that great. It was late at night and the hotel couldn’t change the room. However next day, Lia changed the room for me; and since then my experience was great!I also enjoyed the breakfast a lot!

  My stay at the Rojas Hotel was incredible. The rooms are very clean and organized, and the atmosphere makes you want to stay longer. Also, it is close to the city's main hotspots.The breakfast is excellent, and the hotel offers full assistance for altitude sickness. The staff members are lovely, and Lia provided all the necessary support.​I highly recommend this hotel!

  You can find the minimum at this hotel. The location is quite good but the street outside the hotel is dirty and smelly. Although the room and the bathroom were clean, there’s a lot of noise outside also if your room is downstairs Breakfast is not good at all

  Very nice hotel, clean rooms, excellent breakfast, extremely friendly and helpful staff, even with special requests. The center with restaurants and various shops is just a few minutes' walk away. Highly recommended.
