    Rafael was super rude to us at breakfast. We were just seated outside and when we went to serve ourselves in the buffet he asked us to change places. There were plenty of free spaces in the restaurant area, so that was not a problem. A family of 3 latinos specifically asked him to move us out of our table to have it, and instead of telling them to seat elsewhere and use judgement, he told us to change table. We were discrimated for no reason, probably we were women and not latinos. The worst is that they have a clear sign in the eating area stating that discrimination is prohibited. This guy should get fired because he doesn't speak English in a hotel restaurant and discriminates non latinos.

    ⚠️ AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. They cannot be trusted, and based on our experience, they will cancel confirmed bookings last minute if they can sell the room at a higher price.Our experience:We booked Antara Hotel about 2 months in advance for our honeymoon stay in Lima. On the day of check-in, while we were still on the plane, I suddenly received an email that my credit card was declined. This was strange since it was a Revolut card that had worked flawlessly everywhere else and even for 3 weeks across Peru. To resolve the issue, I updated my payment details 5 times using different cards — all declined.I tried contacting the hotel. No answer at first, then finally after 3 calls someone picked up. They told me there was a “problem with their card service,” but also that the hotel was already full. This was suspicious, as it hadn’t even been 15 MINUTES since I was asked to update my payment details on Booking.We still decided to go in person (40 minutes by taxi) to clarify. At reception, the staff member (Ramiro Rios) told us we couldn’t check in because the air conditioning was broken. I explained we didn’t need AC, but he became visibly nervous, started shaking, avoided eye contact, and kept changing his story. First, he said he needed to call the female manager for permission. Later, he said the manager was a male named Carlos Barera. After leaving us waiting for 20 minutes, he came back and said the manager refused to give us permission to see the room.At that point, it was obvious they were lying. They most likely gave our reserved room to someone else at a higher rate. To make matters worse, the receptionist told us it would take exactly 3 days to repair the AC — the precise length of our planned stay in Lima.Because of this dishonesty, we wasted over 5 hours of our honeymoon — tired, hungry, and exhausted after a long flight — dragging our luggage around the city to find a last-minute alternative. We ended up booking a nearby hotel directly (not through Booking, since support was unreachable at that moment), and it cost us €320 more than our original reservation, despite being of much lower quality.This experience was extremely stressful and unprofessional. The hotel deliberately misled us and refused to honour our confirmed reservation.

    YES, VERY GOOD, VERY CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE PLACE. EXCELLENT RESTAURANT SERVICE, VERY GOOD PERUVIAN FOOD, FRIENDLY PERSONNEL SERVICE. THE HOTEL IS IN THE MIDDLE OF MIRAFLORES IN A VERY GOOD AND SAVE PLACE, I WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WORK IN THIS PLACE

    Booked hotel 2 months in advance via Booking.com. Twice replied to hotel messages indicating arrival time and regarding bed arrangements.Upon arrival to hotel with valid reservation in Booking.com, I was explained that hotel is fully booked and no rooms available. Had to look for new hotel.Stay away from this hotel if you don't want to end up stranded in Lima.They are selling overbooked rooms.Hotel should be removed from Booking.com. Read other comments and you will see that there are lots of other people with identical situation.

    Old & smelly room in need of TLC

    The Hotel’s rooms need renovation!We stayed one night during our honeymoon. We booked the Suite Deluxe with jacuzzi hoping for a luxurious stay. The bath was broken and old. The room in general was smelly, cold and old. No air-con available.No special ‘touch’ as other hotels provided us on your honeymoon!The Prices does not match the hotel’s facilities.But, The Staff are friendly and location is good!
