    I am currently staying in an AirBNB on this complex and wanted to warn potential visitors. This place only has a pool. The bar,pool bar, coffee shop and restaurant are all closed and actually look derelict. Apart from the gardens the outside is very dated. The pool is good and is cleaned regularly but area surrounding the pool is very dirty and I have not seen it cleaned in 10 days. This may be a satisfactory accommodation for young groups but is definitely not for families or the elderly. Also this accommodation is being advertised with incorrect facilities not only on Tripadviser but also a variety of travel sites.

    I'm am giving who ever is reading this a big warning please don't book this place it's a scam.we arrive at this place horror we booked a resort with pool,bar, restaurant looked exactly what I wanted.the place is abandoned nothing is opened not even a receptionist you have to ring a number on arrival and someone will come with a key we knew nothing about this.the place is run down we had to leave and book elsewhere.they refused to return our money for flace f..

    A group of 20 of us stayed at this accommodation for only £88 each for the entire 4 nights stay. We were quite worried about what to expect because of the reviews but we were very pleasantly surprised. We stayed at a large complex of apartments with tennis courts and a swimming pool. Each apartment had air conditioning, good bathrooms, fully working kitchenettes and comfortable beds.If you’re a group of mates looking for a cheap and pleasant place to stay, this is definitely good.A deposit was required on arrival, however it was all returned to us - Despite the fact we were probably a very noisy groupDon’t let the reviews put you off

    Father's birthday from hell

    STAY AWAY!!!I booked this property through booking.com, upon first impression it looks like a tranquil family resort- Nice rooms, buzzing pool, lounge area, restaurant and bar etc. It looked so nice that I booked it for my Dad's birthday and his and my mother's first holiday with no kids. WHAT A MISTAKE...I gave my parents the address that was on the website and when they arrived... there was nobody there from Jardim ByUmbral. A random Spanish woman had to help them sort everything out, apparently there is a lot of trouble in the area with this property (According to the local). We later discover that the actual location is 6 minutes away and you must ring a mysterious phone number to come meet you with a key.When my parents arrived, my mother burst into tears. The place was like an apocalyptic warzone that had been abandoned. They immediately cancelled their booking (without even getting their key because there was still a wait for that as there are NO STAFF ON SITE AT ALL). I couldn't believe how badly my father's birthday had been ruined- I immediately had to pay 1000 euro to have them rebooked into another location to save the day, they had to get more taxis to the new location ( after getting 2 taxis to try find the mysterious Jardim).Here is my problem, I contacted the company immediately and have been battling now for 24 hours to try and get a refund- the only positive out of this is that they have revealed their tactics in deceiving the customer and I am here to save anyone else's mother from crying.1) The bar pictured numerous times was closed (my parents filtered their hotel choice on there being a bar located on the property) - I pointed this out and after avoiding the question constantly they finally answered that its not their bar... it is just on the complex and they don't run it. So why picture it? I was then told that " All information and images presented on our platforms relate exclusively to the units under our management" , my question again... why is the bar there? The pool bar is also closed with zero notice or signage on the website2)The pool is not open. Judging by reviews it seems to be an ongoing problem of people being misled about opening dates for the pool. Well when I booked and still to this day, when I search the property in English there is no mention of this, so my parents were blindsided. 3) The location is not where stated on the website. You must ring a number, drive further and then meet someone to get a key. 4) This is not a hotel/aparthotel as it comes up on booking websites. A member of their team revealed to me that they only own 4 units, so you are also bunked in with God knows who. It appears anyone can buy up these apartments and lease them but this is not made clear on their platforms either- as I said, it gives the imagery of a picturesque resort- FALSE5) There are no staff or security present- Remember I said that you could be bunked in with random people? that is because there is no check in process. There are no staff if you need help, there is no security measures, you are just given the keys and left to fend for yourself. I repeat- none of this is indicated on their website.6) I am currently fighting to get my money back, dodging the excuses and arguments and untangling deception.

    Stayed here for 6 nights last week in a two bed apt booked via AirBnB so will review that via their site but a warning to anyone booked within the next week or so, the pool repairs that were due to be completed by beginning of June weren't finished so what should've been a few steps to the pool from the apt turned out to be a 10-15 min walk, some of it uphill, to a public pool nearby. We were only informed the pool wasn't ready the night before our flight so no time to rebook. Check before you arrive. Not the best place to stay if you have mobility issues as the complex is very hilly with steep paths but so is the local area. The blocks themselves could do with a lick of paint but the grounds were very well kept. Lots of noise in the apartment from our neighbours around us.
