Location

This family-friendly beach hotel is situated 1.5 km from the centre of Alvor, where guests will find a number of bars and shops. The beach, numerous restaurants, and links to the public transport network are all just 300 metres from the apartment hotel and the nightlife in Praia da Rocha is approximately 4 km away. Nearby places of interest include the historical city of Lagos (20 km away), Caldas de Mochique thermal springs (30 km away), Slide and Splash aqua park (25 km away) and Zoomarine Sea World Park (33 km away). Faro Airport is approximately 65 km from the bungalow complex.

Facility

    Wow Absaloutely beautiful , the dinner club downstairs and pool bar is amazing , amazing food and such kind staff especially the lady there super kind and helpful , amazing food and amazing staff , thank you so much ❤️

    Our second visit to this wonderful resort. The staff were very friendly and Monica and Lucas went the extra mile at every meal. Food was excellent. The private location made it feel very special with its own grounds to walk around. The atlantic pool was very beautiful, with fantastic coastal views and surrounding greenland. Lovely boardwalk into Alvor which is only about 30 mins away. Alvor itself is fabulous and family friendly. Can't wait to visit again. Teresa Owen.

    Great local Portuguese restaurant food. Very friendly staff. Seafood offerings from squid, corvina, swordfish, grouper and prawns so far.

    Good location for getting to Alvor via the board walk. Not enough sunbeds around the pool, and seems unfair / greedy that you are expected to pay for sunbeds at the Atlantica pool? In the apartment, the kitchen equipment is very limited (they did not even provide bowls). Overall the apartment is ok but quite dated and in need of a refurb. The poolside bar at the atlantica pool is very expensive.

    We have just returned after 9 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment ( room 317 ) room only holiday, a little over €2500. We also travelled with my sisters family who stayed in a 1 bed and my mother who had a suite. We all left feeling absolutely gutted and extremely disappointed from the whole experience. I have previously stayed in the villas on 4 occasions and this was our first time in the hotel part. Our apartment was infested with ants and cockroaches. Brought this to the attention of the front desk and all they said was we have the also here in reception. I ended up buying powder, spray and traps to resolve the issue. The kitchen area was very poor with rusty handles, broken hob and presses falling apart. Bins were only changed after 3 days and in the heat really started to stink. The bathroom flooring is lifting, found mold on the tiles and rusted shampoo holder. The shower is in the bath and very slippery. Quite dangerous for my mother with no handle to hang onto and she couldn't reach or turn the head in the shower because is was too high and not adjustable in height. The bedrooms were a disaster, couldn't sleep on a few nights due to a wild and out of control party's coming from the private villas which backed onto the apartments down our end of the hotel. The windows are single glazed and seem as if they were open with the noise coming through. The apartment 317 is also near the roundabout and main road and on two nights, we had joyriders flying up and down the roads at around 3/4am which was unfortunate. The balcony was tiny with only two very old deck chairs and overlooked a shabby roof which was once apart of the steam rooms below which don't exist anymore. The pool area was a disgrace with slime floating in the water and green algae all over the tiles around the pool. On checkout we somehow misplaced one of the keys for the apartment and were charged €20 and to top it off, the guy on reception didn't even bother to see if we had a nice time or wished us well. I am so disappointed with the experience and doubt I will ever return which is I'm so disheartened as I've recommended this place to many over the years.On a positive note, the waiting staff at pool bar were were nice.
