  Excessive Damage Deposit

  We had stayed here when our daughter was younger so we weren’t prepared for the changes . Please be aware of the damage deposit charged , in our case 300 Euros , returnable post holiday after inspection . It can be as much as 500 ! We couldn’t get in the apartment due to a “ swollen door “ . We managed eventually to gain access , only to find we couldn’t close the door , having reported it at reception, they sent maintenance to fix next morning, but we had to secure the door that night using the security chain only . Shame , really , because location is great and apartment is well equipped . Didn’t have a rep , as booked through Love Holidays , who unsurprisingly , are not offering compensation .

  Worst place I ever stayed in!!!!

  Dirtiest place I have ever walked into. Pool was being worked o dust and noise every day. Our flight was in the evening so we were charged for a late fee €30. Then asked for €300 deposit which would be payed back after we left when their clean team checked the room. Clean team what a joke. The foyer was full of dirt and rubbish, the bathroom had pubic hair all through it, drawers in kitchen filthy, fridge filthy, balcony filthy with broken table. To get to the pool you go out the back to what only can be described as a building yard. Cigarette butt's and beer bottles everywhere. Staff at gartveaur extremely rude and unhelpful. All they want is your money and to hell with you. Noise all night from gangs of youths partying and banging doors. Worst experience ever. They give you a fob for front door knowing it has been smashed in, anyone can get in. For your own sake please avoid at all costs.

  Spotless clean apartment

  Went for 5 nights as had a wedding in Portugal. Got to apartment at around 4.30pm and Garvetur real estate agent got us checked in. Joanna in Garvetur was absolutely brilliant. Even brought a hair dryer to me in the apartment. Perfect for our stay.. Pool not great and very little chairs or beds available around pool. On the plus side five minute walk to beach and was just fantastic. Really enjoyed and couldn't praise Joanna in Garvetur enough. Professional, friendly and went above and beyond. Lovely.

  These apartments are very dated but spacious and extremely clean. They have everything you need for a week away especially if you plan on eating out most of the time. They are in quieter part but still an easy ten minute walk to the beach and Marina.Be aware that there is no reception at the hotel so if you are arriving late you need to contact the hotel directly to let them know. We arrived at 22.30ish and then had to ring a number for someone to come and give us the key, it was a bit inconvenient but only waited about fifteen minutes for them to meet us. Also, we had a late flight home so enquired about keeping the room on. We were told that was fine as nobody was coming in after us however they wanted 55 Euros for the privilege 😳 naturally we declined!We would definitely return but hopefully with better flight times.   Grew to really appreciate this place

  We arrived late (2230) into Vilamoura and could not find anyone at the Garvetur Office. We rang the telephone number on the sundew but no response. Had it not been for our very helpful & friendly Hoppa taxi driver who made a number of enquiries & calls, we might still be standing there now:)However, over the next couple of days we came to really appreciate the location and generous size of the apartment. Everything inside was modern, extremely clean with effective air conditioning. Our balcony faced direction of The Crowne Plaza and got early morning sun only due to not being top floor. In terms of an evening, only 5ish minutes to Tivoli by the Marina.The pool area is accessed by a gate with our key playing up a bit....scruffy with only half a dozen sun beds that had clearly seen better days. The apartments are only 5 mins from the beach anyway therefore we gave pool area a miss as we were only booked in 5 nights...Overall an excellent location and good value for money.
