Location

This hotel is an island of tranquility in Santa Eulalia, Albufeira, and is located right next to the sandy beach of Praia dos Bicos. It lies near the infamous club and bar area of Oura, Albufeira, known as The Strip, and there is a bus stop right across the street (70 m). Guests will enjoy attractions such as Zoomarine (a 20-minute drive), Paderne Castle (25 minutes' drive) and Silves Castle (a 35-minute car journey). The hotel is easy to get to, and Faro Airport is just 30 km away.

Facility

The hotel has 2 junior suites, 140 single rooms and 140 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by 2 lifts. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and central heating. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi are provided as well. Entertainment options and leisure facilities include live music and a dance club.

Meals

Dining facilities include a dining room, a breakfast room and a bar. A number of specialities await guests in the air-conditioned, non-smoking restaurant. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. For breakfast (continental), lunch, and dinner, guests serve themselves at the buffet or choose their favourite dishes from the à la carte options (for lunch and dinner). Diet meals, gluten-free meals and vegetarian dishes can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available.

    A lovely hotel ideal for a nice relaxed week away. Rooms are basic but similar to 80% of rooms around Europe, everything you need for your stay. Breakfast was really nice and lunch at snack bar was lovely as well (that chicken Caesar salad)We didn't have dinner at hotel as we eat out away from hotel.The staff are so pleasant and polite and the hotel is spotless, pool is cold but you just about get used to it after a couple of mins. Drinks a little over priced in hotel, €6 a beer is available for €2/3 everywhere else but that's a very minor moan. Some nice bars and restaurants around the area too. We went the old town in the day but you could tell what it would be like of an evening so avoided that. We went albuefira marina most nights, Uber is cheap as anything there, €5 to the marina and lovely choice of chilled and relaxed bars and restaurants with amazing views of the harbour (especially the Italian)Enjoyed Jack's Irish bar and FAT CATS too, staff everywhere are wonderful. 100% would come back.     Fantastic hotel! Great facilities. Room was large and luxurious with a big bathroom and gorgeous balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast buffet had loads of variety and the poolside snack bar had delicious food and drinks. The pool was fab with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The evening entertainment was very good.The staff were all friendly, helpful and professional.     Great Hotel and great stagf

    Just back from a five day stay in this hotel and we had a fantastic time.The room was lovely and immaculate and we had a sound sleep in the comfertable beds.The breakfast was nice and the pool was great with plenty of sunbeds.We ate a few times at the pool bar and the food was lovely and very affordable.There are a few good bars and places to eat within walking distance of the hotel but we tended to go into the old town every night by taxi which only cost €7 a journey.All in all i would recommend this hotel and lastly all the staff were lovely and made our stay very enjoyable .     This hotel was amazing from been greeted at the reception by smiling polite staff we felt very welcomed Our room was very clean and spacious with a balcony and free slippers and bathrobes there was also a kettle small fridge and coffee machine The pool area is very clean as is all the areas within the hotel cleaning was to a very high standard throughout Whilst we were there it was our wedding anniversary and champagne and a very beautiful cake was delivered to our room which was complimentary This hotel is on the edge of alberfuria and was away from the hussle and the strip Breakfast there was an excellent selection of hot and cold and dining area was either inside or out Luís Vicente, General Manager at Aqua Pedra dos Bicos Design Beach Hotel, responded to this review Dear Guest,We would like to thank you sincerely for your wonderful review and, above all, for choosing us for your stay in Albufeira.     Had a wonderful stay at Aqua Pedra - the hotel is spotlessly clean, staffed by very friendly and helpful workers and is in a wonderful location for exploring all of Albuferia. You can easily uber to nearing locations, and there’s plenty to do and see. The hotel has a lovely pool, and the all inclusive breakfast is varied and has something for everyone. There is a bar next to the pool which serves fantastic food and drinks for brilliant value, and there is excellent aircon all round the hotel. Only could note to say a few more sun loungers may be needed as the pool got quite busy, and rooms could have done with more storage or wardrobe space. This is also quite a popular spot for hen and stag do’s. This is an amazing hotel, and I would absolutely recommend. Thank you for having us!
