Location

The resort overlooks the beautiful beach of Porto de Mos in Lagos. This luxury resort is just a 5-minute drive from the bustling town centre of Lagos and less than 10 minutes from the beautiful town of Praia da Luz. The historic town of Lagos offers many activities, including shopping, sightseeing, dolphin watching boat trips and relaxing days at one of the many sandy beaches. In the evening, guests can choose from a wide range of restaurants and bars where they can sample the delicious Portuguese cuisine, as well as a variety of international cuisines. Lagos also features a stunning marina with restaurants, bars and shops. Faro Airport is approximately 90 km away from the establishment.

Facility

Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. The grounds of the resort feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room and a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park (no extra charge). Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax and enjoy the sea views from the balcony or private terrace of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station and dishwasher. Further amenities include a washing machine and an ironing set. A telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio, a CD player, a DVD player and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. A hairdryer is also provided. Cosmetic products and a selection of towels provide additional comfort in the bathrooms. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. There are indoor and outdoor pools and a children's swimming area. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The resort offers outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, tennis, golf, fishing and horse riding. With windsurfing, canoeing, snorkelling and diving available, fans of water sports will have plenty to choose from. Guests can enjoy a wide range of indoor sports, including a gym, yoga, callisthenics and aerobics. Various wellness options are available at the complex, including a spa, a sauna, a steam bath, a hammam, a beauty salon, massage treatments and hydrotherapy treatments. Evening entertainment includes live music.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Refreshing drinks at the beach bar are a perfect way to enjoy warm weather. Catering options include half board and full board. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety. Diet meals, vegetarian dishes and children's meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options.

    Overall I’d rate this hotel an 8. The number one perk of this hotel is the proximity to the beach and the two restaurants there. The room was clean and spacious for our family. We used the washer a lot given we traveled through Europe for several weeks. However, the price was on the high-end compared to others in Lagos. We ate at the hotel restaurant one night but found the food at other restaurants to be better priced. Our experience with the front desk was sub-par on friendliness and helpfulness but had good experiences with the rest of the staff.

    We recently stayed at Belmar Resort and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our room was equipped with a full kitchen and offered direct access to the pool area, which made our stay even more convenient and enjoyable.From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the resort. We were greeted by Delio, who was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. Every time we had a question, he was there with answers and great recommendations. In fact, he suggested a local restaurant where we celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary with friends, and it turned out to be perfect. The food was delicious, and the owner and his wife went out of their way to make our evening truly special.Delio and Ricardo were both extremely helpful and pleasant throughout our entire stay. At the bar, Lydia and Junior were always welcoming and ready to prepare excellent drinks with a smile.The resort grounds are beautiful and well maintained, making it a pleasure to walk around and relax. One of the best features is its location—just a three-minute walk from the beach, where there are already two restaurant options available. The resort also has its own restaurant for added convenience. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to try it because we were busy enjoying excursions during our stay.The resort offers five pools, including an adults-only pool, giving guests plenty of options whether they're looking for family fun or a quieter place to relax.For anyone looking for a family-friendly destination that offers the convenience and amenities of a resort while being close to the beach, Belmar Resort is an excellent choice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return. Thank you to the entire Belmar Resort team for helping make our 35th wedding anniversary trip so memorable!

    Nice property, nice apartment room with ocean view. Definitely worth the price. Enjoyed the adults only pool and spa amenities. Easy walk to the beach. Everyone was very friendly and plenty of onsite parking too.

    Belmar Spa & Beach Resort is a truly wonderful place to stay, with beautiful surroundings & staff and excellent service. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout my visit. I and my daughters were especially grateful for their generosity and honesty in returning my coat after I accidentally left it behind — such thoughtful service is rare and deeply appreciated.     Excellent location. Clean resort with great pools near the beach. Apartment was a good size with nice partial pool and sea view. Food, drinks and service were excellent. A little far from the main town however we enjoyed the location for the hiking and beach. The historic centre was a 40 minute walk.
