    Good site - good pool - nice location

    Stayed for 3 nights in may in camper van area- cost €30 per night including elec and two people. The toilets were clean- but the showers could do with a make over - not sure why they are so poor - push button and only stays on for 30 seconds max. Laundry area with machines €6. Pool area was nice - plenty of space and sun beds. Bar area and music on a Sunday. Supermarket seems to be in the process of being set up so only a few things in there when we visited. 20 min walk from Praia de Luz - you can also can the bus there from right outside the park. Plenty of food options there and of course the beach. Uber back from there on an evening around £4 if you don’t fancy the walk and hust a few mins wait. Bus across the rd from the site goes to Lagos - €1.60 single. Lagos is lovely and great board walks and marina. Again we caught uber back twice €4 - so cheap. Don’t let the fact the campsite is out of the beach areas put you off as plenty of options to get around.     Very neglected site. Pitches not level & overgrown with weeds. 4amp electricity. Toilet/ shower block immaculate but no shower head. Water came from a pipe but plenty hot water. People next door informed us all orbitur sites are the same. Ok for one night Orbitur Intercambio de Turismo, Outro at Orbitur Valverde, responded to this review We regret that you did not have a positive experience with the service provided in our campsite.     Very disappointing and expensive!

    Valverde used to be ok, a bit free range but livable! and the price at that time was acceptable, but this year the prices have gone through the roof and are not representative of the facilities available! As in , no bar, no restaurant, no swimming pool, no supermarket!We have used the site for 4 years, but will not be returning! Now cheaper to hire an apartment than pay pitch fees.The infrastructure is showing its age, the toilet blocks are outdated, cold and basic! There is no water on pitch, must be hosepipes or watering can from nearest tap, shared electricity posts.The fees have virtually doubled and the facilities are very poor. Orbitur Intercambio de Turismo, Outro at Orbitur Valverde, responded to this review We regret that you did not have a positive experience with the service provided in our campsite.     Oh dear, the facilities at this place are terrible. Communal toilets do not have locks on them, showers neither. The toilets are full of other people's waste, the shower heads are similar to a hose pipe but without the pressure of water.The cafe you would not go near with a barge pole.The location is outside of Lagos, but there is a bus every hour. If you use the car to go out at night you can't it get back into the camp after 11pm.

    Thought we’d try the Orbitur Valverde Site whilst touring Portugal in our campervan, as stayed in one of their other sites during our trip, which was really nice. However not so with this site. Really disappointed at the run down state of the site, where grounds have been neglected and every pitch we looked at (and there were many!) were all infested by ant nests (millions of the little blighters). 3 out of the 5 toilet/shower blocks were closed. One of the remaining ladies shower block had no hot water and was basically a dribble of water, not enough to shower.WIFI only available at reception or in their sitting area. Needs a bit of money spent on upgrading the buildings as they all looked in poor condition.Really not worth 31 euros per night!
