  Awesome Riad style Hotel

  I stayed here for 3 nights during my visit to Paris to watch the Roland Garros with friends.Check in was very stressful. Arrived early 12ish, planned to leave my luggage and grab some food. I was informed that even though I had paid for the booking, Stayforlong had not paid them. (Even after 3 days, they said that they had not received payment from them.I was also informed that my room would be ready in an hour. But when I came back at 1pm it was a different story, and I was informed that check in was 3pm. I was however eventually able to check in at 1.30pmThe breakfast eggs and cut up sausages looked sad without any sauce. The cheese, pastry and coffee were good.Room 2 where I stayed was good. The best part of the Hotel is that it had a forecourt like the Riad in Marrakech where I have stayed. It is and excellent feature to the hotel. A shame that the weather was not good that weekend. Otherwise, the outside space would have been perfect to chill.

  The price charged was very high for the facilities. The rooms are dirty and clumsy. The kitchen has insufficient food.   Dirty room noisy room

  First of all the room is dirty. There was trash and suspicious hair found in the bed, and then yellow stain on the toilet. I thought ok this is a cheap hotel I’ll just clean it myself. Then later I found some more stain on the bed sheet and I couldn’t stand it so I asked the staff to give me some new sheets to use. But another problem is that there’s been some water running noise in the wall and it keeps going and never stops. I got really annoyed and went down again to complain but there’s no empty room that I can move to. The staff came and switched the ac on and off a few times and it stopped. He said all ac is like that which I highly doubt because apparently this is not the first ac I’ve seen. But luckily it stopped and I hope it doesn’t come back again. I know old buildings can be tough to manage. But you sure can change sheets after used and make sure your appliances not broken, right? I can stand noise of next door talking, I can stand noise of people walking up and down stairs. I can stand noise of other rooms taking shower and flushing toilets. But I can’t stand a continuous running noise that keeps going and going and going and never stops. It just drives me crazy.

  Bijou but good location

  Smallest hotel room I’ve stayed in, but for the price and location, and me travelling for work solo, it was fine. Everyone was nice and while there were Some scary reviews floating about but it was ok in the end. :) Benjamin Maxime, Directeur général at Hotel Clairefontaine, responded to this review Eryan, Thank you for your comment!
